Analysts said that Iraq/Saddam had around 1 million tons of munitions.

1,000,000 tons

This one site represented some 380 tons -- a drop in the bucket of the total munitions.

The media are wanting account of 380 mosquitoes in a nest of 1,000,000.

===

There was one pile of munitions the military found. I remember one of the 'guards' say they were destroying/exploding the pile in segments, 24 hours per day. And even at that constant rate it was going to take YEARS to destroy it all. The media (except the embeds and those who bothered to go to Iraq) have no concept of the amount of munitions Saddam had.

They said they destroyed 200+ tons of explosives.
Originally the report was 380 was missing. However, the FNC report proved that 137 tons of RDX was missing before we got there. 380-137=243. So this falls in direct line with the amount supposedly missing. In my opinion all is accounted for. Except the amount the russians or Iraqis smuggled out before January.

If Dirita is right, we are almost 1/2 way thru that 1,000,000. I think we are doing great, so far. I just loved Dirita pointing out, repeatedly, that we are having a debate over 1/1000th of the munitions destroyed so far... and with your 1,000,000, we are talking about an even smaller fraction.

IDIOTS on the left, all of them.

"The media (except the embeds and those who bothered to go to Iraq) have no concept of the amount of munitions Saddam had."

and obviously they do not care, either.

they care about this alleged specific quantity BECAUSE it was the STORY.

If they cared about the overall situation of explosives in Iraq, some reporter could have done an exhaustive study of the situation between Apr. 03 and last week sometime . . .

If they cared about the overall situation, they would be interested in knowing what has been destroyed, etc. They don't WANT to know that this alleged specific quantity has been destroyed, IMO.

IOW, they WANT it to have been looted and in the hands of terrorists! Sheesh! Anything to get Kerry elected . . .
