You know I'm not usually a nitpicker on this kind of thing, but wouldn't you love to have Torie Clarke handling this briefing?
To: MEG33
So that is right...just a few press people there. What hypocrites. They are so obvious.

Karl Rove is a genius! How did he ever get the UN to release the documents accusing Bush of losing the exlosives in the first place?
The real genius of Karl Rove was actually getting Kerry to admit that there were WMD's in Iraq and Saddam had to be removed!

I'm afraid the damage has been done. The media WILL NOT REPORT THIS AT ALL.

Soldiers speaks some more:
- mission to find any exposed ammunition that could pose a threat to US forces or was easily accessible
- had 9 16-ton trucks with him
- moved ammunition from Al QaQaa to the captured ammunition dump
- then destroyed camptured ammunition
- destroyed ammunition in 5 ton batches
- the captured ammunition dump was 7000 tons
- captured ammunition dump was destroyed by fire in July
- thinks they removed 250 tons of ammo from Al QaQaa
- some was similar to what was on video from yesterday
- some was RDX
- maybe up to 3 tons of RDX
- lots of plastic explosive removed

The malformed past tense "I seen..." is very common in Pennsylvania. I used that form in daily speech until about my third day at college, when I abruptly learned to say "I saw."
Hmm. Hard to say....I had trouble placing the accent. Could be Eastern PA coal regions. (I'm from Danville, just north of that area, and in HS we did in fact make fun of the speech of people from places like Shamokin, Mt. Carmel, etc.)

Before the press conference, Rush had just started to say, for the troops and civilians overseas who had not received their ballots, they can vote online and he was going to give instructions but this press conference started. Yes, and Tonk has a link to where they can go to vote online as well. I pray it works out.

Good grief this guy is an idiot.

Rush just had a great take: "We have identified the people who raided the Al QaQaa Ammo dump... It was US!"
