Signs of a Bush Victory - Ed Schultz Goes Nuts
Vanity | 10/29/04 | Shadowfax

Posted on 10/29/2004 6:29:38 AM PDT by Shadowfax

I have to admit that, as Sean says, my heart is troubled. There are a lot of signs that President Bush is going to win a closely contested race. But it's too close for comfort. Still...

I flipped on Big Eddie Schultz a couple of days ago to see what he's saying. (Actually, I'm pretty impressed with Eddie. He has a nice radio presence. However, because he's a liberal, he doesn't have a leg to stand on and must rely on lies to fill the three hours of his show.) I caught him during a rant in which he screamed about -

1) How he'd go anywhere at anytime to debate those "right wing blonde bimbos, Coulter and Ingraham."

2) The President has stated several times that if Kerry were in office after 9/11, Saddam would still be in power. What Bush doesn't tell us is that the world and the United States would be a safer, better place if that were the case.

After that, I had to turn it off and start hosing myself off. I felt so dirty.

Now, Eddie's a left wing loonie. No doubt about it. But this was over the top for him. Admitting and defending the fact that Kerry would have kept Saddam in power? Name-calling? He sounded really scared.

I think Bush is going to be okay. I don't hear this fear from conservatives. I hear concern, but no fear.

Thanks for the link. I found this jewel there -

"Ed's views starting shifting left-of-center upon meeting Wendy, a psychiatric nurse, now Ed's wife and producer."

This explains so much. A little mind altering medication can go far. LOL!

Sean = Sean Hannity

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to change that before I posted but forgot to.

If that's how he feels about Laura and Ann, they must be doing something incredibly right.

And I'd go anywhere, anytime to hobnob with them as well. I'd just be a WHOLE LOT friendlier when I got there !!!

Any one watching Phil...

"I turned off Fox when I saw that the failed relic of the Old Left was on (Donahue)--now I find myself curious as to what he had to say."

I turned off Fox as well when I saw Donahue.

My guess, he had nothing important to say as usual.

I'm a conservative, Shadowfax, and I feel excellent about President Bush being re-elected.

I humbly suggest anyone with doubts, do the EV math... Kerry needs to win nearly every large closely contested state to reach 270. Ohio AND Florida, nearly certainly. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Iowa are disputable. Michigan , Hawaii and New Jersey are ALREADY CONSIDERED as certain Kerry wins. I'll wait for the actual vote, myself.

It is possible, but highly unlikely the comrade Kerry will win.

I'm lookind forward to Tuesday, Nov. 2, and another Bush Win!

Of course, JMHO.

Besides, they'd chew him up and spit him out. And not in a good way.

Rick,

Don't get me wrong. I honestly don't see how Bush can lose in an honest election. He's up in all the polls. Kerry is forced to defend states that are traditional liberal strongholds. I'm not cowering in fear. However, I think that it's healthy to be concerned a bit. The race is close. Also, I don't trust the Dems. (Duh. Aren't I brilliant?) They will do anything to win. The law isn't something to be followed. It's something to be circumvented in their quest for power.

I think that if I had to say that I'm honestly afraid of anything, it's that there will be a replay of 2000 in multiple states. Dems don't have to win elections anymore. They just have to get close enough to go for the steal.

These people are repulsive.

Ummmmmmmm, he may not LIKE Coulter and Ingraham but I'd like to know on what PLANET they would be considered BIMBOS

You have to remember the democrats are the party that SAY they support women. Like other groups(blacks, Jews etc.) they really only USE them. They do not want women to be informed about the realities of abortion. Their base is made up of feminists and lesbos (aren't they the same?). So of course any intelligent, articulate, and strong woman is a threat and must be torn down.

I have some very personal insght into the silly rants of Ed Schultz. I had the unfortunate experience of working with this man for about 6 years. You see, Ed's vast political experience comes from a 20 year career as a small-market TV sportscaster. And that's it. I will give Ed this, he is a gifted communicator...always has been...but so is the used car salesman down the street, and that is what Ed is. He will say ANYTHING...and believe me I know from personal experience...he'll say anything he thinks or, mostly, what someone else tells him to think, if it means getting ratings.

During all the years I worked closely and daily with Ed he was a die-hard redneck conservative! And I mean RED-NECK along with all the political, racial and gender biased stereotypes that go along with that label. When he started doing local talk radio in Fargo he was known as a louder, more boisterous version of Rush. But a couple of years ago things changed. A popular conservative talk-radio host by the name of Scott Hennen moved into the Fargo market and Ed's ratings started to sag a bit. It was during this time the left was going bonkers about not having a voice in talk radio. Ed's biggest driving force is his ego...and as a hard line right-winger in North Dakota he had no inside track to the marbled halls of Washington D.C.. The North Dakota congressional delegation is as democrat as you can get with senior senators Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad as well as longtime congressman Earl Pomeroy and they had always avoided dealing with Ed seeing him as "enemy territory". But now with true conservative competition I believe Ed saw an open door and welcoming arms and he walked right through, almost overnight going from an anti-tax, anti-government conservative to a big-government, tax and spend liberal...all for open doors in Washington and a shot at an ego-stroking "national" radio show.

It is my opinion, based on experience, that Ed has little or no personal conviction in anything he says. I believe it's all an act to try and grab as many ears as possible. So keep this in mind when you run across "Big Eddie" on the dial...if you can ever find him.

Big Eddie is from Fargo, ND, my town. He is a former football "star", hence the nickname. Then he became a sports announcer, a very outspoken, opinionated man, who frequently ruffled viewers feathers. He was often part of the after game water fountain gossip. In his previous life he was more on the conservative side, then after his second marriage to a very liberal woman, turned tail, and is pretty vicious with his ad hominem attacks.

Thanks for this marvelous insight. If true, it brings my respect for Ed as a radio personality up a bit. What a performance!

Of course, the trade off is that he loses points for being a total scumbag who lacks convictions and will betray his own ideals to get ahead.

In other words, I think that Ed may have actually become a liberal.

In the liberal world, if you disagree with them, you are Bimbo, Idiot, etc... The never made it past third grade. Of course I THINK anyone who votes for Kerry is an idiot, but I wouldn't call them one. ;o)

I understand your point.

It has passed thru my mellon, too, "why are 40 something percent of the people voting for Kerry"? A Blatent Socialist Liar, imho.

I used to think that most folks misunderstood the facts, and many do. But know I see that many folks are truly "leftists" and they are "the enemy of America's original ideals" as I undedtand the situation. They understand EXACTLY what Bush stands for, what Our Founding Fathers believed in, and what we believe in, AND THEY HATE IT. This is very surpising to me, also.

I think a large part of the solution is to fight the "old media", by supporting conservative causes with dollars and/or time.

The media is calling it "a toss-up". The Canadian and European sportsbook are heavily favoring Bush. You risk 165 to win 100 on Bush. Risk 100 to win 145 on Kerry. The MONEY says Bush too.

The Senate races are looking great for the Elephants, too! Edwards old seat, apparently going Republican. LOL.

Rick

Well said! You nailed it! It is true...every bit, and your right he's an awesome reporter, in fact in that regard, on-air presence, etc., he taught me a lot and I'm grateful for that, but it's my opinion, based on experience, that he HAS NO personal convictions. Whichever way the wind blows...which fits right in with his new leftist pals.
