Michael Moore was on BBC TV last night. What a smug fat git...

Posted on 10/29/2004 3:25:11 AM PDT by BritishBulldog

"Question Time" is a BBC political panel based discussion show. Generally it's has a left wing biased, conservative bashing forum (what else? it's the BBC) and the audience (participating) always seems to be made up of shifty lefty angry militant types. You get the picture? Good.

Last night, the program relocated to Miami and had a largely American panel and audience. Michael Moore was a panelist.

Thankfully, we don't see much of Moore on UK TV. What an obnoxious, pumped up, smug fat illegitimate he is. I watched some of this show and he came across as a juvenile, self satisfied, loud mouthed jerk.

For instance, one topic discussed was gay marriage. Moore's contribution was along the lines of, "I find people that indulge in conservatism and Republicanism to be morally deviant but I don't think they should be stopped from marrying each other." Cretin.

For those interested, there's a description of the panel here,

and you can view the program by clicking the "video" link from that page.

I paid to see Michael Moore last night, in "Team America: World Police." He blew up real good!

That alone was worth the price of admission, but then the Tim Robbins puppet was imolated and I was tempted to stay for the second show!

A Freeper posted earlier this week saying he was going to be in the audience for this. I hope he posts about his experience.

The local college here in a small town in West Virginia paid him $20,000 to be on their "lecture series", and not only did he say that, but the reporter even printed it (and a couple of other examples) word for word in a followup article.

So not only it is OK to give this left-wing propagandist lots of money for a political rally days before the election, at which attendance was mandatory for many students, but they also provided three advance articles and built it up like the biggest and most important event in years. Yet when the rare conservative speaker comes to the same "lecture series", they don't even bother to publicize it! I heard of Alan Keyes (past presidential candidate), my favorite orator, coming to speak just one hour beforehand by word of mouth, and tried with little success to locate and pass the word to some other conservatives.

Okay I think, from my British prospective at least. We're not familiar with most American political commentators so I have very little to go on. Also, To be honest I didn't watch the entire program, I tend to avoid this show for obvious reasons, but I saw the last 15 or 20 minutes.

Richard Littlejohn, I assume, was there as the token British panelist (or maybe he was visiting Disneyland and was picking up his holiday money). Usually I find him very good and entertaining, but last night he seemed a little subdued, you might say he failed to sparkle.

git

n : a person who is deemed to be despicable or contemptible; "only a rotter would do that"; "kill the rat"; "throw the bum out"; "you cowardly little pukes!"; "the British call a contemptible person a `git'" [syn: rotter, dirty dog, rat, skunk, stinker, stinkpot, bum, puke, crumb, lowlife, scum bag, so-and-so]

Gotcha. I think the Southern interpretation most used would be "scumbag puke".

Moore was in Broward County last nite to protest the loss of absentee ballots - big rally at the Election Supervisor's office in FTL - 120 people showed up. Today's Sunsentinel's headline makes it appear that "scores" showed up to protest and that the turnout is overwhelmingly Democratic - 2:1; well Broward is 2:1 Dem
Paper is trying to create a race. Moore has "jumped the shark"

I like it too. Snagged it from one of newbie FReeper Question Liberal Authority's posts.

"As an American, I apologize that our society has inflicted Michael Moore on the Anglophonic world."

That's ok, we forgive you. Just....

...don't do it again. Okay? :o)

Michael Moore was on BBC TV last night.

Cripes, one more thing they'll want us to apologize for. Maybe somebody will start a website with conservative Christians posing with signs saying "We apologize to the World for Micheal Moore, he does not speak for us."

BTW, aside from very brief snippets, I don't recall ever seeing der Fette (Goering's epithet) on the Telly in the U.S., but I don't fish much in those waters.

Disingenuous filmmaker is too kind kind a name for this America hating windbag. I think his period of fame is about over. BBC panelist indeed....
