Maybe it's VPOTUS' turn to strap on a flight suit and take a fighter jet to Hawaii!
How fast could he get there?
Won't happen....but it sure would be cool.
Maybe Kerry's getting Gore out of the battleground states before he messes up Kerry's chances even more.
That's great! Poor Hawaii gets sort of neglected sometimes. Not that the surfers and surferettes really seem to care...
Seriously, Cheney has a great presence, he's an impressive speaker, and people are going to love having him there.
Blasted Libs!! If Seattle wasn't swamped with them we might get a visit too. :-(
Okay, enough pouting. ;-)
I'd be interested in knowing which campaign decided to send a representative first. At very least, Dubya has them on the run.
Oh geez, spare me the agony! Good thing I'm pre-warned so I can skip the local news and any traffic. I'd better warn the better half or he'll be stuck in traffic when Gore shuts down the freeway for his motorcade.
Actually - I've got a better move. Let's convince the DNC that Gore should come here on Monday and travel from the airport to Waikiki around, say, 7 a.m. Hehehehe... guaranteed to tick off everyone on the road.
I have a sneaking suspicion Gore's anger isn't going to fly all that well here.
Do you think the Bush campaign pays all THAT much attention to mainstream polls? I have no idea, but given how much the media hate Bush, as well as the fact that the campaign has their own internal polls, I'm guessing their own numbers give them a reason to send Cheney to Hawaii. Otherwise, he wouldn't be going there.
rove's secret weapon. if GWB can't make it to campaign somewhere, convincing Gore to campaign there for the Demons is just as good for pushing up the GOP numbers...
Satellite hookup interview with Hawaii reporters from Chappaqua. Toon not in Hawaii getting lei'd. (Rush joke.)
...HELL FROZE OVER!! BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
The November surprise may be California for Bush...........From your mouth to GODS ears!
GORE in Hawaii
should be a DEAN SCREAM!
He's the ANTITHESIS OF ALL THE HAWAIIANS I'VE EVER MET.
--He's exceedingly phoney.
--He's exceedingly shrill.
--He's exceedingly greedy and aggressive.
--He's exceedingly myopic.
--He's an exceeding idiot.
How unbelievable would it be if BUSH showed up in Hawaii for the "Cheney" crowd on Sunday!? The media frenzy, itself, would extend through Tuesday.
Remember Thanksgiving in Baghdad!

Gore is a bore!
Get out of Cheney's state.
I think we can read volumes into this - first Kerry has to use Clinton to rally support in Philly (which should be automatically DemoRat, 15 to 1), second he has to send Al Bore to Hawaii to shore up support in another should be slam-dunk DemoRat state.
Doesn't sound like a confident winning campaign to me? Sounds like a defensive and losing campaign to me? (Kinda reminds me of Ann Richards' '94 Texas campaign to me -- promising complete victory right up to her concession speech!)
Yes, I almost ran off the road with the lei thing. snicker
I've been doing everything I can as well as a lot of other good people here in CA. I don't anticipate our state votes going to Bush, but it will be close. What is so sad is that the people that live in the LA and West bay area are more populated than the rest of us and don't contribute to society but they get so many votes. When you look at the electorial map of the whole country, how is this fair?
Judging by the near total lack of Kerry signs in my area, (San Francisco East Bay) I think it's going to be closer than we may think. I'm not optimistic enough to say that Bushn will carry CA, but my guess is that it'll be in the single digits, unlike in 2000.
My info says Cheney is supposed to be in IA. Then to HI.
