Most all these politicos are freaking crooks.
I find the task of trying to get through to the fringe types who are easily swayed by J&K-style nonsense very frustrating. But I'm comforted by the fact that the Left has it's fringe element, too. Included among them are the folks who'll vote for Nader. In some ultra-close states, the Nader fringe may help GWB. So maybe Right fringe against Left fringe will be a wash in the end.
As for J&K, their very silly "political human sacrifice" stunt may or may not have garnered them higher ratings. But as a political tool, it was doomed to failure from the start. Baca will be reelected in a breeze. Thanks to redistricting, Dreier's district may be somewhat more Democratic, but he should also win pretty comfortably.
J&K either really don't get the game of politics, or they don't care (I vote for the latter). Their stunt practically forced Dreier's opponent to do something she otherwise would not have in a million years -- take a tougher stance on illegal immigration. The instant she did that, she alienated both her Dem base and the Dem Party. I suspect she'll actually lose more votes because of that than she'll gain due to J&K's stunt.
You may call them fringe, but they have the bully pulpit of a 50,000 watt blow torch that makes the fat cats flinch. Human Sacrifice forced all the politicians they targeted to come on the show or to respond. It forced Asa Hutchenson to come to California twice.
I think they understand politics pretty well. :)

It's really sickening to listen to Dreiers *new* campaign commercials, trying to convince everyone that now, all of a sudden, Dreier is a big anti illegal alien crusader and a defender of our borders.
It's *truly* sickening to think if it wasn't for John and Ken broadcasting the truth about this illegal alien loving liar, there would be *no* Dreier campaign commercials depicting him as this big anti illegal alien crusader. Talk about utter bull sh*t!

I heard J+K do an interview with Asa Hutchinson when they were filling in for Glenn Beck a while back, and I must say, they were awesome, and Hutchinson was a slimy weasel. These guys really are doing the job that the MSM should be doing. They dont care if the pols like them or not; dont care if they damage their chances of return visits from these pols; and REALLY dont give a damn if anyone likes them or not. I just wish that Eastern WA had their equivalent...JFK

Look at them. They are all, party before country, hacks. They don't care about whats going on. They only care about one of their club members being attacked. That what that's all about. Period, end of story.
Do I want something done about illegal immigration? You bet. Do I think we need much stronger border control? Yep. Do I think we need to stop handcuffing our police agencies where illegals are concerned, and let cops round up any they catch? By all means. Am I opposed to an amnesty? Absolutely.
But -- and here's what a blind bigot like you simply cannot grasp, it appears -- I believe J&K's methods do more harm than good. I believe they are in this for the ratings and to pump up their own egos. I believe John, in particular, is one of the most despicable individuals on the air in Los Angeles. He pulls stunt, after stunt like this frequently, and not just about political matters. He pulled an absolutely horrible stunt in connection with the Peterson trial, for example, and should have been fired for it. I don't want J&K on my side as regards illegal immigration or any other issue, because they are as I described them: modern snake-oil salesmen.
I don't expect you to get the distinction I'm making between the issue and those two bozos, because you don't appear capable of doing so. The point had to be made nevertheless.
Never having come across you before on FR (if memory serves), I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and respond to you politely. I make a distinction between the issue if illegal immigration (see my post #109) and J&K. I do not respect them, especially that shrill idiot, John. I think what they are doing does more harm than good. I believe their stunt is destructive, not constructive on one of the critical issues of our time. So I'm not about to jump on their bandwagon just because they presently appear to be on the same side of the issue I am.
Why, because I do not support this never ending invasion of our country? LOL! Is it because I am not afraid to speak out about it? Like these two guys with the 50,000 watt microphone, that Dreier attempting to silence, as all the junior Rhinos stand around nodding yes to Dreier?

And just to clear up another of your knee jerk statements, no one, or very few in the southwest United States are swayed by anyone from a talk show.
We don't need any stinking talk show host to tell us what the hell is up.

We have seen this epic lawlessness close up and personal for years. We've seen our law enforcement officers shot to death, our neighbors children killed by drunken illegal aliens, our hospitals and trauma centers close, class rooms jammed, jails full of them, all the while, the feds in concert with the local politicos stand winking and nodding at the massive lawlessness, while forcing us all to pay for this, while they pander to these millions of criminals.
If I had it my way, I would not only fire Dreier, I'd fire most everyone in Congress, the Senate, and those in State governments. What we have witness over the past decade or so is completely unacceptable and treasonous. Those responsible should be made to pay. The problem with you Rhinos is, all you want to do is shoot the messenger. LOL!

Yup. The open border crowd has long used the race card to try to silence all debate. They either picked up the trick from the hard left, or brought it with them when the liberal herds migrated into the Republican camp following the Carter Presidency.
