Just reported on NBC News
At some point it makes sense to add up the dollars and sense.
Hey Doctor:
I'm a defense lawyer, numnuts, I'm the guy that bails your ass out when you commit malpractice, so chill.
Now he's just another Bill Clinton to us. Scuzzy.
Whether he's civilly liable (that's 'guilty' in everyday language) most of the time has nothing to do with why he settled. I work for a company that will settle a totally bogus claim because at some point it costs more to defend than to just pay up. It's a business decision.
I bet Fox News made him settle--defending his honor is bad for business.
Yeah, $4 million for unrequited phone sex is a win.
Just reported by you! You da man!
so, what is it you are reporting?
Yeah, right....it won't get a peep. But those that watch (I almost slipped and said "we") WILL get some pimping for "Factor Gear" and his pay-per-view website.
See title...
I don't commit malpractice or gross negligence, Foul-mouth. Your attitude shows you to be a defense attorney (that and the tiremarks on your face). Tell ya what, "counselor," troll on over and find some other ambulance to chase.
Defendants who did absolutely nothing wrong settle all the time for business reasons - believe me, my clients are insurance companies and corporations, I know that drill.
Protracted litigation just costs too much for a company and leaving it up to wacked out juries is suicide.
Decision to settle makes perfect sense and does not lead, in my mind, to any conclusion about either of the party's conduct in this case.
We'll have some inkling when we see her tooling around on her new yacht.
As some female inmate someplace might put it, "That's a good thing...."
sounds like no money if there was no wrongdoing....

Are you dumb or illiterate? Or both? I said I'm a civil defense lawyer, so I don't chase the ambulances, I fend off the jagoffs that chase em.
Get a clue.
Are you saying O'Reilly would be showing "integrity" by violating his signed settlement agreement?
Read the last words describing their agreement...
You are prolly right. I cant watch him anynmnore. But it is good if he dissing Kerry for the next few days. I would like to see hume take over his slot.
Shh. Praising Hannity isn't popular around here.
I do agree that I'd like to see a new show in BOR's timeslot, though. Hannity works well on H&C, so let's not move him from there. Possible replacement candidates: Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Zell Miller.
"sounds like no money if there was no wrongdoing....
"
Really? Wrong! Remember Michael Jackson and the $20 million settlement with that boy. No wrongdoing, eh? You're dreaming, here.
And I can't, for the life of me, figure out why you're defending O'Reilly.
I'll bet that silver tongue of yours works wonders for your clients. /sarcasm
