I'm reading Tommy Franks autobiography "American Soldier". I'm at the point in the book where plans are being made to invade Iraq.

I highly recommend this book for a contemporary look at the issues swirling around Afghanistan and Iraq. The book is a great read and gives you a greater appreciation of what a no nonsense military commander is like. His comments about the Pentagon based officers is very telling.

Does he get into the logistical planning and execution?

I have the Franks autobiography and it is an excellent read of an honorable man. Lockhart should burn for calling him a liar - all democrats should be shamed at this.

I'm reading Franks' book, too.

I can imagine the General filling out his daily 3 x 5 card tomorrow morning: Challenges: Lockhart; Opportunities: Knock out his lights.
