He does an excellent job of decribing the thinking behind the troop strength needed to complete the mission. Sounds like he had to battle the Pentagon brass every step of the way. Thank goodness President Bush and Secretary Rumsfield were in his corner. At one point in the narrative he asks the Rumsfield to put the JCSs in line and stop meddling with his authority. Remember that CENTCOM is a unified command and is intended to provide a quick response highly mobile military. He also goes into some detail about Pentagon sources, in particular, leaking sensitive information often in a biased manner.
Does anyone know if any weekend Freeper demonstrations are scheduled? I would thing a large gathering outside The New York Times, CBS or The United Nations would be appropriate. There seems to be no doubt about a coordinated effort to take this election by falsely accusing our troops and their commanding officers of dereliction of duty. This is unprecedented.
