I have often seen occasions on many mainstream media broadcasts when commentators and news journalists give a particular spin on current events, but something I just saw on CNN's Inside Politics with Judy Woodruff bordered on the truly outrageous. In beginning an interview with Tad Devine, a senior Kerry campaign advisor, Judy Woodruff said something to the effect that "with the latest polls in the battleground states seeming to break in your candidate's direction (Kerry's direction), what do you see coming up on election day?"
I have been watching the polls as carefully as anyone, especially the summaries of recent battleground state polls posted at RealClearPolitics.com and I can only view Judy Woodruff's statement width incredulity. Two of the last three polls in Minnesota each have Bush up by 3, the spread of recent polls on Wisconsin is still in Bush's favor, the last three polls listed on Florida have Bush up by anywhere from 2 to 8 pts., the last 3 polls on Iowa are Bush +1, Tie, and Bush +4, and the last two on New Mexico have it Bush +3 and Bush +4. Finally, CNN's current electoral survey still has Bush leading Kerry.
I think Judy Woodruff's statement falls somewhere between "slanted" and "deceptive." It just does not match the facts and, though I already understood that CNN was biased, this piece just supports my contention even further. I'm really getting fed up with this open campaigning by television news personnel.
I have a couple of links for you to support what I have written above. You can pop them up without leaving this page:

Why do you even watch that crap???
Typical left approach to news.
MSM has a crapload of their own Baghdad Bob's.
Grasping at straws. The election is almost out of reach.
judy woodrough spinning and lying for kerry is surprising to
you ?
Your first mistake was confusing Judy Woodruff as being some sort of objective news source.
My remedy? Turn the channel to FoxNews or possibly even MSNBC.
So is it any wonder that Tad chooses to show up on time over at CNN, but not at Fox?
I was/am watching also and thats not what I got from that opening. She was actually trying to get Devine to achknowledge that its lookin like an uphill battle for Kerry.
It's CNN, that's your first clue. They're still running with the 380 tons crap. Fox had on today a U.N. document stating the facilities were not secured well.
She obviously hasn't read the news of the day.
She's LYING!
You're welcome. :)
Tad Ducked FOX because he can't answer real questions.
Nobody's watching. Well, not many people are watching CNN anymore.
Don't worry, be happy.
Viva Bush!
Anybody who sleeps with Al Hunt isn't credible.
Judy Woodruff is Baghdad BOB in Drag !! I thought everyone knew !!!
She and her husband, Al Hunt, are Dem shills. What do you expect?
