The Pentagon is examining evidence that could further discredit a report by the New York Times that hundreds of tons of high explosives were looted by terrorists from a major Iraqi weapons facility after the U.S. invaded in March 2003.
"Senior Pentagon officials say they are analyzing some satellite images from the Al Qaqaa facility south of Baghdad from before the war," the Fox News Channel's Bret Baier reported late Wednesday.
"Apparently, they show some large truck activity at that facility, [indicating] possibly that Saddam Hussein was moving the explosives out," Baier told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren.
Photos showing a pre-war truck convoy at Al Qaqaa would comport, Baier said, with a January 2003 report by the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency revealing that 158 tons of the high explosive RDX had already gone missing from the site.
Experts say that to remove the 380 tons of high explosives reported missing from Al Qaqaa by the New York Times, it would take at least 40 trucks with a ten-ton capacity.
On Wednesday Iraq war veteran Ken Dixon, who was with the 101st Airborne division when it reached Al Qaqaa on April 10, said he noticed tracks from heavy truck tires outside the three bunkers he inspected.
I haven't seen the thread on this...
I apologize if this has been discussed ad nauseum..
Interesting if anyone can find any holes in this story or obvious fakery

But there were seals! Did someone break the seals? Boy the UN will talk about this!!!!
See Kerry. See Kerry with a gun. See Kerry shoot the gun. See Kerry shoot the gun in his foot.
More important is where the trucks stopped

IRAQ'S WEAPONS IN SYRIA: SENIOR SYRIAN JOURNALIST
The more I hear about a convoy heading to Syria, the more I have to smile. This was the convoy (or one of many) that many intel officials were saying was used to smuggle WMD's out of Iraq in advance of the coalition. I can forsee a mass declassification coming real soon and I honestly believe we are going to hear of WMD's in Syria. Those of us on this board have known this for a while. To think that the partisan press's attempt for last minute election engineering will ultimately lead to killing their own long held claims of "no WMDs, no justification, Bush lied" is just too damned rich.
The seals are bunk. Anyone can bribe an IAEA inspector for extra seals. My understanding is the last IAEA inspection was closed (check the seals... don't open the bunkers)
NO SH*T??????????????????
...or just take the hinges off the doors.
I'm sure someone did break the seals. Some of the seals I saw on videotape the other day looked like blue plastic wire ties that any heavy duty wire cutter could easily snip.
I heard a report this morning that, yes, there were seals on the front doors, but that there were other passages to go out.
I received a letter from them in which they planned to continue printing all facets of the explosives issues until they were resolved.
Again I wrote to them; and this time I was less than courteous to them, for I felt that again they were wrong about our President. This time there was no response.
Silence is not golden! Instead, it is a sign of guilt and lack of humility.
My theory is they ended up somewhere in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon or in Syria.
Where's my club?!
I remember them talking about this as we prepared to go in - there was much specualation that WMD and other weapons were probably being moved into Syria for "safekeeping". How convenient for the MSM to "forget" this and build attacks based on lies...
