Hope he's going to endorse GW; otherwise, he's just another sexy, good-looking he-man! he-he!

I'm going to miss it, since there is no way I can abandon getting the children ready for school at that hour in order to go down to the basement and watch TV. So you might as well tell us now.

You know what I think, he's gonna say bad things about Bush.

Take that to the bank.

Are you really associated with Mel, or is the "right hand man" stuff just hyperbole?

Why would you say that? He is very pro life and conservative.

"You know what I think, he's gonna say bad things about Bush."

I think you are correct, he already has.

That's why ABC is having him on. There is no other reason. Does he have a movie out? What is he hyping? He's on to cause catholics and evangelicals to abandon Bush. He will gripe about the lack of WMDs.

I'll be thrilled if I'm wrong, but I fear this is what's on tap for tommorow.

There is simply no way a hardcore Catholic like Gibson would ever endorse Kerry. Gibson would not endorse in any way shape or form a candidate who supports abortion. I'd bet every dime I have on that.

"Why would you say that? He is very pro life and conservative."

Gibson didn't like America fighting a preemptive war. Also, he bad mouth the president because no WMDs were found; he felt the president lied. Do you really think GMA would allow a celebrity like Gibson to appear on their show to endorse Bush? I don't think so.

Also, Gibson is not the conservative he is painted as. He is a class unto himself - I don't mean that as a compliment.

Because he has already said very bad things about the Iraq war. At one point, he was even going to distribute Fahrenheit 911.

Let's just put it this way, he thinks the Jews have influenced
our foreign policy and that their influence has been detrimental to us.

I hope his hardcore Catholicism and objection to embryonic stem cell research and gay marriage will be what guides him in his Presidential choice.

I am saying that it is 50-50. He could be anti-Bush on GMA....

PS - Although I don't think Gibson can be classified as a conservative - as we tend to think of conservatives. I do think he is a great actor and a fine human being. However, don't look to him for religious guidance - he is really confused.

Gibson didn't like America fighting a preemptive war ...

The issue of the war is a secondary issue. The primary issue--a non-negotiable issue for practicing Catholics--is abortion. A hardcore Catholic like Gibson will not and cannot endorse a candidate like Kerry. Period. The reason is that abortion is considered to be intrinsically evil. War, and the death penalty, for that matter, are not considered to be intrinsically evil.

Even if a true believer like Mel is against the war in Iraq, he or she is compelled to vote against the candidate who supports abortion. It simply does not compare to the always and everywhere evil act of abortion which is killing 4,000 unborn children a day.

If Gibson is the sort of Catholic he plainly seems to be, he will endorse Bush, regardless of his feelings on the war.
