Smokin' in the boys room: The beat goes on in the Syracuse Carrier Dome home locker room bathroom, where Baldwinsville High School marching band drummers let loose on a few stools.

Illegal use of hands? San Antonio's Barry Muth tries to make an open-field tackle on Chicago's Ramon Canellada during the Spoke Bender Bowl in San Antonio.

Four-wheel drive is no help: A lone SUV sits stranded amid the broken asphalt of a crumbled major highway after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Yamakoshi, Japan. The weekend temblor and aftershocks killed 25 people and forced about 100,000 from their homes.
This is beyond scary!!

If he'd been outside of DC he would probably notice that it (gun racks in back windows) is less common in my area than it is to the North of DC, IMO. Well, they aren't nearly as common around here as they used to be either, but I still see 'em from time to time. In times past, it was unusual to see a pickup without a gun rack....and most of 'em with guns in 'em. Seems PC has moved to the piney woods ;^)

I am not exactly certain why, but I had long believed that the White Sox won the World Series in 1959.
I just checked and saw that they lost it to LA 4 games to 2.
Memory, they say it is the second thing to go!

I got this from a FReeper FRiend. Something for us all to remember for all the holidays. We all can do something like this.
"I'd like to tell you what happened to me today. I stopped by the local recruiters' offices (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Air Force Reserves) to drop off little bags of Halloween candy. Those guys rotate on a regular basis. The recruiters whom I had spoken with in the past are gone.
The new guys are not seeing support like the first group or two did. The new guys were stunned to see support! We must continue letting them know.
The Army and Air Force guys were out of the office when I arrived. The (extremely cute) Marine guy blushed when I dropped off the trick or treat bag and mumbled something about "good stuff" when he peeked, and needing a gym later. The Navy guy asked "where is everyone out there if what you say is true?" I told him "everyone" out there was Republican and into election season. He bought it-for now."
This is something we can all do.

Do you have a decent recipe for baking a potato? (Is potatoe spelled with or without an "E?" J/K!)
Is wrapping a potato in tinfoil a good idea?
