JUST ASKING

WHICH high-profile diplomat who was hoping for a big job in the John Kerry administration — if there is one — is having a not-so-low-profile affair with a gorgeous, red-headed divorcée with an interest in foreign affairs? Even if his wife doesn't find out, the fling might wreck his chances for the big job

John Kerry wears makeup even when he's not on camera. This earned him the moniker; "Liveshot", from WRKO's Howie Carr.
Kerry also had the audacity to suggest that his victory parade be a part of the Red Sox victory parade. No senator. We have not waited since 1918 for YOU!

The slums of that era are now $3 million condo lofts.

Did Giuliani's tenure really clean things up? I've heard that, but I'd like a report from folks on the ground.

I haven't been to NYC since Dinkins was mayor. Things were pretty bad then.

I don't like sKerry, and don't want to see him (s)elected, but why has no mention been made of his prostate cancer/surgery? I know if caught early, the prognosis is good, but was his?

Giuliani DID turn it around, and the Wall Street boom rained wealth on the city. WILLIAMSBURGH Brooklyn, the icky slum where I spent my early childhood, is now uber-chic, with million dollar condos. High end co-ops have more than doubled in price in the last decade, and truly luxurious new residential high-rises are sprouting everywhere.

My first thought was of Holbrooke, too. As for Kerry's health, all those tarmac games of football and baseball, the outdoorsy "hunting" photo ops, etc., are a desperate effort to make him seem vigorous (a la Jack Kennedy, who really was suffering from Addison's disease, STDs and chronic back problems). A blogger at Daily Kos (isn't that a leftist site?) writes:

Possible explanation for Kerry's recent bizarre tan: common treatment for last year's prostate surgery includes the placement of radioactive "seeds" into the prostate to prevent a relapse of the cancer. The radioactivity causes a ghostly pallor - which is, needless to say, less than presidental looking. Is Kerry covering it up with tanning lotion? Could be. Problems with his prostate could also explain all the photos of him engaging in "vigorous" activities like windsurfing and skiing and bike riding. Could also explain the frustratingly fatigued presence Kerry comes across with so often...

You have got to be kidding! An opportunity whore, like I have never seen before. I'm sure the Red Sox would love to share their victory parade with him.

why has no mention been made of his prostate cancer/surgery?

Several newspapers ran a story Oct. 3 (apparently hand-delivered to the NY Times by the Kerry campaign) that he was completely cured:

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has been cured of prostate cancer, his doctors have told him, according to a report in the Sunday issue of The New York Times.

Dr. Patrick Walsh, said "The likelihood that he is going to have a significant problem with this cancer is infinitesimally small," reported the New York Times.

During an interview last month and published this Sunday, Kerry, 60, told the Times that "I am cured," and "I am cancer-free, and the percentages of me being cancer-free 10 years from now are about as good as they get."

Two years ago Kerry was diagnosed with prostate cancer, an event that sidelined the normally active Massachusetts Senator. Blood tests performed every 6 months indicated no recurrence of cancer, with the most recent test completed on September 18, by Kerry's personal physician Dr. Gerald J. Doyle. In February of 2003, Kerry had his cancerous prostate gland removed and in March of the same year, Kerry underwent surgery to repair a shoulder injury described as painful. link

Georgette Mosbacher? Georgette Mosbacher is very active in the New York Republican party, but was a big supporter of John McCain's in 2000 and pro-abort. So she might be tempted to tarry on the "dark side" especially considering that she is in her mid-50's and her "trophy wife" creds. are diminishing by the moment.

I'm wondering who will be the first AIDS or hepatitis president.

Both parties should commit to a full release of medical records, before the primaries.

>>>Who do you think the gorgeous redhead is?<<<

Dana Delany? She was Kerry's ex-mainsqueeze. I gotta give the guy some credit for that. But going from Delany to Heinze? BARF!

From the National Cancer Institute:

"If used for a long time, ketoconazole may cause liver problems, and aminoglutethimide can cause skin rashes. Men who receive total androgen blockade may have more side effects than men who have just one type of hormonal therapy."

If this is true, voters have a right to know.

Hopefully they realize that this is waiting in the wings...

Senator Edwards replies to a question of how many years he's actually served in the Senate.

"He made the comment that someone he has complete confidence in as a source has told him that one of the candidate's health (I took it to mean Kerry) is deteriorating and it's being kept secret by his campaign and the media. Could this be the Republican's October surprise?"

Not only would this be a devastating "Oct. surprise", but it'd be 100% legit to raise the issue.

Wow, if this were true...
