JUST ASKING

WHICH high-profile diplomat who was hoping for a big job in the John Kerry administration — if there is one — is having a not-so-low-profile affair with a gorgeous, red-headed divorcée with an interest in foreign affairs? Even if his wife doesn't find out, the fling might wreck his chances for the big job

If this is true, voters have a right to know.

I think Kerry looks terrible but I would be suspicious of such rumors. Bush just needs to continue to hit the trail hard and look as vigorous as he does.

" Is the entire city of New York dysfunctional?"

Yes. The entire city of New York is dysfunctional, and it has been for well over 100 years. My own family left it for the bucolic splendor of New Jersey just after the Civil War.

That'd be my guess.
He's useless!

Maybe the prostate cancer came back and spread? If so, prayers for him though I'm a Bush voter.

"...one of the candidate's health (I took it to mean Kerry) is deteriorating..."

This has been troubling me all along. I've wondered (so I'm paranoid...so what!?) if Kerry is elected, then something happens to him...Breck Boy becomes prez and selects (TA-DA!) Hillary Clinton as VP.

You know why I think there's something to the rumors, in addition to Kerry's looks and his unwillingness to release his medical records? It's the fact that the Dems haven't tried too hard to make Cheney's health an issue this time.

How come people from Massachusetts take the first "R" out of "Harvard" and stick it on the end of "idea"? This drives me nuts.

Sorry I misread your comment. I wish Mike would have elaborated on this. Maybe more will come out as the week goes on. If there is anything to this story he has an obligation to make it public.

He's been looking jaundiced for quite some time. I believe he uses the canned tan to disguise this. JMHO

One of the reporters on Fox and Friends this morning, commented on how tired Kerry is today after campaigning "so hard" yesterday. When I heard this, my first thought was, this will be the excuse for him looking terrible today (I haven't seen him yet.)

Some of the meds that treat prostate cancer can make skin look orange. Maybe he is having a relapse. Are we sure Cheney's heart is still ok?

Is the entire city of New York dysfunctional?

There are eight million souls living in Gotham...11 million are here on a typical workday...most of us practice "stealth virtue", loving our wives and children, paying our taxes, etc.

Well, Lucy was a red head, but she's dead, or she might have some 'splaining to do.

No problem, any time.

Would you like Cynthia and Billy McKinney, and maybe the entire Atlanta City Council? We can probably get you a quantity discount.

I'm sure they'd feel right at home at Rikers Island.

Well, you know, us benighted hicks out here in flyover country only know what we read in the papers . . . < g >

Seriously, I lived in NJ for four years and spent a lot of time in the city. Unfortunately, it was at sort of a low ebb period when crime was bad and everything was filthy (mid-late 70s).

Great Yankees team though - Nettles, Munson, Hunter, that gasbag Reggie . . . and the inimitable Martin.
