Page Six is famous for its gossip, and naturally only the juiciest stuff makes it in. Most New Yorkers would never have to worry about turning up in the column. But there are indeed some pretty spectacular cases. Some people buy the Post just for Page Six!

I was listening to the Michael Smerconish show this morning on 1210AM out of Philadelphia. He made the comment that someone he has complete confidence in as a source has told him that one of the candidate's health (I took it to mean Kerry) is deteriorating and it's being kept secret by his campaign and the media. Could this be the Republican's October surprise? Release this information Sunday...

As long as we're engaging in uninformed gossip, I will say that I have noticed that Kerry's complexion looks very "yellow" lately -- jaundice?
Only two people mentioned on that Page Six are actually Native New Yorkers. The rest float up on our shores like so much flotsam from places like Georgia. We thank you so much.

I posted what I heard on his talk show this morning. Smerconish doesn't engage in gossip. If I would have started a new thread with this I would have been pilloried for posting a vanity piece. I thought it was an interesting comment he made and one to give pause for thought. Sorry...

I wasn't slamming you; in fact, I added to it by mentioning something I had noticed that fits with that idea (or as kerry would say, "idear").
