New Democratic Party
Vanity | 27 Oct 2004 | Robert G. Scott

Posted on 10/27/2004 4:05:05 AM PDT by R. Scott

As often as the democrats drag up John F. Kennedy’s image, they have completely forgotten his policies. Kennedy cut taxes to stimulate the economy. He wasn’t afraid to use military force to defend our country.

They completely ignore his inaugural address given on 20 January 1961:

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe -- the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans -- born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage -- and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.

Most importantly -
And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.

Now the Democratic Socialists believe that more taxes are better.
They believe our rights come from the State, and can be taken back by the State.
They believe that military force is never an option.
They demand that our country do everything for us, and we do nothing for our country.

"Ask not what your country can do for you...." then and now:

John Kerry offers more

To the editor:

I want our physical boundaries to be protected by a strong Department of Homeland Security.

I want to maintain an all volunteer militia by strengthening veteran services and benefits.

I want affordable health care and prescription drug insurance for everyone.

I want to maintain the right for individuals to make their own health decisions.

I want all Americans and our guests to feel safe in their homes and on our streets by increasing funding for first-responders and re-starting the war on drugs.

I want everyone to have job security and a stronger safety net in case they do lose their jobs, by tightening reasons for termination and restructuring the unemployment system.

I want our seniors to be financially able to live independently in a healthy way for as long as they can by protecting Social Security, Medicare and providing prescription drug coverage at a cost they can afford.

I want all children to not only have the opportunity, but to in fact, enjoy equal and quality education.

I want all our citizens and guests to enjoy total equality in all the rights guaranteed by our Constitution and the states' constitutions.

That's why I'm voting for John Kerry and John Edwards.

Kennedy would be conservative by today's standards.

Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country has been replaced with, "...from each according to his ability; to each, according to his need."

Today's Democrat party is run by gangsters and Bolsheviks, and John Kennedy would not have recognized it. I truly believe we are in a Civil Cold War with the Left right now, and we have to win it, just as surely as we had to win the Cold War.

Nope.

The next terrorist attack in this country, I'm betting, is going to be in another liberal stronghold.............these people are asleep at their post. So they're primed for an attack.

It makes me sick to say it but it's what I think is going to happen.

I want The Government to supply health care.
I want The Government to guarantee my employment and retirement.
I want The Government to …
As I stated, the new Democratic Socialist - Ask not what you can do for your country; ask what your country can do for you.
Are we really incapable of taking care of ourselves?

Wake up, Donna. John Kerry is a documented liar and panderer. Stop asking the government for handouts. It's pathetic.

The last place they'll ever hit is Falling Waters WV.

It's in the middle of nowhere and of absolutely no consequence, as far as "target rich environments" go.
The houses are few and far between and the only "business" there is an old-time gas station that's now a rubber stamp craft store.

That goofy dame is completely safe...unless they hit Martinsburg [12 miles south] with a nuke.
[unlikely, too]

She can afford to be stupid.
She's safe.

I am waiting for Hanoi John and the Democratic Party to breakout singing the International

Arise ye pris'ners of starvation
Arise ye wretched of the earth
For justice thunders condemnation
A better world's in birth!
No more tradition's chains shall bind us
Arise, ye slaves, no more in thrall;
The earth shall rise on new foundations
We have been naught we shall be all.
(Refrain):
'Tis the final conflict
Let each stand in his place
The International Union
shall be the human race.
'Tis the final conflict
Let each stand in his place
The International Union
shall be the human race.
We want no condescending saviors
to rule us from their judgement hall
We workers ask not for their favors
Let us consult for all.
To make the theif disgorge his booty
To free the spirit from its cell
We must ourselves decide our duty
We must decide and do it well.
The law oppresses us and tricks us,
the wage slave system drains our blood;
The rich are free from obligation,
The laws the poor delude.
Too long we've languished in subjection,
Equality has other laws;
"No rights," says she "without their duties,
No claims on equals without cause."
Behold them seated in their glory
The kings of mine and rail and soil!
What have you read in all their story,
But how they plundered toil?
Fruits of the workers' toil are buried
In strongholds of the idle few
In working for their restitution
the men will only claim their due.
We toilers from all fields united
Join hand in hand with all who work;
The earth belongs to us, the workers,
No room here for the shirk.
How many on our flesh have fattened!
But if the norsome birds of prey
Shall vanish from the sky some morning
The blessed sunlight then will stay.

Not a Conservative but certainly a Republican. Some of his statements regarding Communism were down-right belligerent. His party would never accept that sort of attitude (bellicosity) today. Same with his tax policies.
