Upcoming Event: SF VOICE FOR ISRAEL TO COUNTER: 'STOP THE WALL' RALLY
Date & Time: Saturday - October 30, 2004 10:00AM
Location: Washington Square Park, SF (at the corner of Stockton and Union Streets, bounded by Columbus Avenue, in North Beach)
Description: The "Stop the Wall" campaign (www.stopthewall.us) will be coming to San Francisco on October 30 at Washington Square Park in San Francisco, from 10 AM to 5 PM. San Francisco Voice for Israel will be there to counter the lies that this group is spreading about Israel's security fence, which they persist in calling the " Apartheid Wall", trying to make an incorrect connection between Israel's self-defense measures and the former South African minority white rule government. (Interestingly, not a WORD on their website about the unrelenting terrorism against Israel that led to the construction of the fence).
We were very successful in July when there was a demonstration against the fence at 24th and Mission BART; we were so effective that the anti-Israel demonstrators took down their display 3 hours early and left, because the public got to see and hear the real truth about the security fence from us. Let's make sure that we're at Washington Square Park to do the same thing!
Washington Square Park is at the corner of Stockton and Union Streets and bounded by Columbus Avenue, in North Beach. Meet at the park at 9:30 AM, look for the Israeli flags; we will be there all morning and if necessary, all afternoon!

I'll bet most of the people at the "Stop The Wall" rally have some sort of security fence around their own property.

Darn near every school in America has a security fence around it because 13 people got killed at Columbine 10 years ago.
By comparison, a security fence around a place where more than 2,000 people were killed in one year does not seem terribly out of line.
We could start with...
India (one wall to keep out Bangladeshis and another to keep out jihadists from Pakistan)
EU (to keep out illegals from E. Europe)
Great Wall of China (isn't it time that old thing came down?)
Saudi Arabia (to keep out Yemenis)
Fence between North and South Korea
Fence at U.S./Mexico border (that's working really well)
And many more...
How any civilized human being could be against that fence is beyond me.
Like if people from Oakland started strapping on suicide vests and blowing themselves up in San Francisco, nobody would want to do anything about it?
The Arab propagandists have been very successful in brainwashing leftists (Israelis and Americans) into being suicidal. That way we make their "job" easier. Quite ingenious really...
