Media Shamelessly Shilling for Kerry and Kerry Brazenly Lying

On Monday, The New York Times reported that 380 tons of conventional explosives were missing from an Iraqi weapons facility. The Times blamed President George W. Bush for not securing the dangerous explosives immediately after U.S. forces toppled Saddam Husseins regime. It was an explosive story timed for maximum political effect. Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry welcomed the news and made it the centerpiece of his campaign speeches, citing the missing explosives as an example of Bushs failure of leadership. There is only one problem the story was false. The truth is the explosives were removed before American troops arrived.
Of course, Kerry still pounded the story as if it were true. Even a day after the truth was published in numerous other media sources, Kerry continued to repeat the discredited story and continued to blame Bush for a failure of leadership that simply did not occur. Kerry has been blaming Bush for every conceivable problem. I half expect him to blame Bush for milk spoiling when its left out on the counter too long and to announce that he has a better plan.
Heres the truth the Times did not bother to report and that Kerry chose to ignore. In the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom, American troops raced towards Baghdad through the desert. The 101st Airborne Division was the first to arrive at the Al Qaqaa weapons facility located just 30 miles outside Baghdad. This is where the 380 tons of explosives were supposed to be. But, the NBC News camera crew embedded with the 101st Airborne Division reported that there was no HMX and no RDX, the powerful explosives that were reportedly stored at Al Qaqaa.
Simply stated, the 380 tons of high explosives that the Times says went missing after the Americans arrived, were actually missing before the 101st Airborne Division arrived on April 10, 2003.
It is interesting that neither Kerry nor the Times mention that U.S. forces have secured more than 400,000 tons of explosives in Iraq making the missing 380 tons less than 1/10th of 1% of the explosives U.S. forces have found and are destroying in Iraq.
Perhaps Saddam moved the explosives shortly after the weapons inspectors identified them. Perhaps they were moved days before the war began. But we know with certainty that the explosives were not there when American troops first rolled into the Al Qaqaa weapons facility as Baghdad was liberated.
John Kerry dishonestly jumped on the false explosives story even after it was discredited because he is losing a close election and needs something to change current trends. Kerry has lied throughout the campaign falsely claiming to have met with members of the UN Security Council and consistently reciting wildly false employment numbers and absurdly exaggerated costs for the war in Iraq, to name only three examples. The truth has never been particularly important to Kerry. In 1971, Kerry gave perjurious testimony to Congress when he falsely accused American soldiers of widespread war crimes. During his undistinguished Senate career, truth has often been a casualty of political ambition.
The New York Times revealed its rather obvious bias by jumping to a false conclusion that served its political purposes and reinforced its biases. The Times was willing to overlook the lack of factual support for the story. It is reminiscent of Dan Rathers and CBS News recent fraudulent document scandal.
It is interesting that before being scooped by the Times, CBS had planned to run with the false missing explosives story only two days before Election Day. Apparently, CBS was prepared to launch yet another false and politically motivated story this one on election eve so that no effective response could be made.
The New York Times, CBS News and many others in the mainstream media are shameless. They feign impartiality, pretend to be honest, and become angry at the mere suggestion of bias. Yet there can be no doubt. They are shills for John Kerry. They have repeatedly demonstrated their bias. Both the Times and CBS were once respected news organizations. Today, they survive on past accomplishments. They are no longer reputable news sources. They are little more than special interest groups campaigning for Kerry. Little wonder fewer and fewer people watch or subscribe.

John 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
This verse fits John Kerry and much of the media elites perfectly. We must all really begin to come to grips with the fact that we are first and foremost fighting a spiritual battle. This battle will only be won with much prayer and we should all also fast. Also we must all seek God between elections too and begin to do his will much more fervently then we have ever done it before. Even before we talk to people about politics we must talk to them about Christ and also pray for them. If they truly come to Christ he will begin to give them true thinking about all other things. In the mean time lets pray, pray, pray, our country depends on it.

Apparently, CBS was prepared to launch yet another false and politically motivated story this one on election eve so that no effective response could be made. SOP for the Dems. In a recent interview with that useful scumbag, Dick Morris, he figured the Dems would spring two or three surprises this week. There are probably interesting things in reserve on both sides. After the NYT debacle, it would amaze me if any facet of the MSM had the gall to run yet another anti-Bush "scoop"...but I've been continually amazed by this election.

"IS VERY, VERY HARD TO REMOVE!!"
Yep. The mud on the New York Times and on Dan Rather and CBS and ABC, which they keep throwing at themselves!
Hardly anyone believes anything Dan Rather or the New York Times says anymore, apart from the loony left crazies ad DU and daily Kos..from all the mud they have been throwing at THMSELVES!
President Bush's lead in Florida and Ohio have if anything gone UP, since this story broke..and as Talk Radio , the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily , The New York Post and the blogs expose the lies in the story, watch Hanoi John Kerry LOSE even more ground to President Bush.
Its a win win for Bush.

Paula Zahn is asking everyone why the president has not made a statement regarding this important story.
I suspect that the answer is that he is giving them enough rope to hang themselves. With the help of FReepers of course.

Here's a fast grab of all the links & relevant commentary I have so far:
Kerry Ad Promoting LIES about Missing Explosives Is LIVE Let me get this straight. The NYT issues a bogus story on missing explosives. Kerry then makes it a key part of his campaign. Then the NYT reports on the new theme of Kerry's campaign. Then Kerry makes an ad touting the NYT story.
I've read the Kerry ad. It may be built on deceptions and half truths but it's an effective ad and it will require not rebutting but refutation.
President Bush needs to make a statement; have a press conference - something straight from the President himself and NOW. . .stop the lies. . .stop the misinformation. . .stop the Kerry camp in it's tracks. . .NOW; by stepping up and out. . .taking advantage of his position as President so speak directly to the people. He should have a 'fireside' everynight. . .or Press conference every day. . .
NBC Video vs. Kerry Campaign Video... ~4:41pm~ EST
SEEMS INCREDIBLE THAT NEARLY 24 HOURS AFTER NYTIMES STORY IS BLOWN AWAY - JOHN KERRY CONTINUES TO USE IT ON THE TRAIL: The Daily Recycler has done everyone in the blogosphere a tremendous service by editing together Kerry's specific statements and the actual truth from NBC News. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE (1:27), LISTEN HERE TO THE 3 HOUR EXPOSE we did on air today.
YET ANOTHER SERVICEMAN REFUTES THE TIMES ACCOUNT [10/26 05:23 PM] --
Question seems to be IS THIS THEIR BEST SHOT??
I'm confident it won't be their last.
NYTrogate--
As I said yesterday, Joe Lockhart on the Kerry-Edwards conference call yesterday said the missing explosives: "Central issue for the rest of the campaign."
This is their October Surprise and they have nothing else but vote fraud. They have to go with this story no matter if it is a lie or not. They have nothing else. Desperation has set in for the Dems and it is blowing up in their face.
We in the "New Media" need to keep telling everyone we know that this story is a "LIE" and Kerry is a liar as well as MSM
Edwards rips Bush for lost Iraq explosives (Will Edwards apologize now?) I have been contacting the media sources that are continuing the missing explosives lie trying to pressure them to issue retractions and to get Kerry Campaign people to comment on the latest information about this story that they have been using as a political attack against President Bush. I urge you all to do the same.
Why don't they just call it the Oct 25th Surprise, since they have a new one everday.
This is not the real October surprise- it's too early for the critical hit; there's a whole week for the story to be shot at and sunk - The real attack comes at the end of week and is directed at Bush's character, a follow-up to the Kitty Kelly and Dan Rather types of attack.
THE DITTOCAM IS ON! Live Rush Thread Rush is ripping CBS, NYT, and Kerry a new one. (LOVING IT) I have a feeling that this is going to hurt CBS and Kerry in the long run. I am glad that NBC came forward with their
footage showing the explosives were moved before we took Baghdad. You would think that CBS and Dan Rather would have learned their lesson after Memo-gate-- In a lot of workplaces today (and for the next week) people are fixating on the election. It's topic #1 in conversations.
So even if the MSM doesn't get on it, those of us of the PJ platoons can burn peoples ears off at work about it.
"what's coming out now is just old useless info. Am I wrong?"
I believe you are correct, if they had anything, anything at all they would have used it by now. They are recycling old news- remember the national guard story they tried to resurrect and put some extra pepper on it by sending in FAKE documents. Again the bloggers came to the rescue and were the first to prove the documents as false. Everything they have tried to throw at this president has fallen flat on its face-
"Obviously this isn't a case of Bush failing to "guard" the explosives. By the time our troops got there they weren't there to guard."
Another CLASSIC case of guilt by accusation. The truth didn't matter, only the accusation. And once again, the MSM jackals run full tilt with the story, without adequate corroboration, as long as they had any chance of smearing President Bush. The decades long practice of MSM lies, smears, and propaganda against Republicans continues.
Dear God these people at CBS and in the MSM are desperate to bring down a sitting POTUS...at any cost. I suspect anything and everything reported as NEWS for the last half century from the MSM...
Kerry wants answers on missing explosives
"Are you keeping up with this on the thread about Hanoi Documents: Two recently discovered documents captured from the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War strongly support the contention that a close link existed between the Hanoi regime and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) while John Kerry served as the group's leading national spokesman"
Here's the direct link to the WinterSoldier.com article that this WorldNetDaily article is summarizing:
What ironies! Bob Woodward and the press fought to bring to light the Watergate facts. Today, the MSM consciously avoids the facts and it is left to ordinary patriots to uncover the rot. Well done.
I've known all this (not about Kerry, specifically, but the war protestors) since my days in military intelligence. I never thought I'd see the day that a 'useful idiot' or worse, communist mole, would be nominated for the highest office in the land.

If freepers or conservatives think that many would-be Kerry voters are going to slap their foreheads and shout that this chicanery by the liberal media is enough, and they all resolve to vote for Bush in protest, I would disabuse you of that thought. The typical Kerry supporter is either blissfully unaware that this story is false or even of the story itself...because they are to involved in their own personal lives or the football season to pay attention to this scandal or all the other scandals which should have resulted in mass desertions of the Slimes readership and Big Media's viewership.
I'm sorry, but the people who will vote for Kerry are the most ignorant segment of the American voters. Honesty and integrity mean little or nothing to them. They believe every single thing that their liberal masters tell them. For them it's all about what is government going to do for me. This scandal will have the same effect on them as did Rather-gate, Wilson-gate, Berger-gate, revelations of Kerry's ties to Hanoi, his (Kerry) pathetic and constant lies, and all the other garbage that should have ensured a Bush landslide. In short very little or nothing at all.

There is a paucity of pro-Bush or conservative papers in the States. They are not so much pro-Republican as much as they actually print facts rather than the hokum regularly dispensed by the big liberal American rags. The Washington Times is another good paper.
But The Wash Times and NY Post influence pales in comparison to that of the big liberal dailies like the NY Times or The Washington Post. Combined with the dominance of the big three lib tv networks and that of Time and Newsweek in the periodical area, you have a tremendous obstacle of liberal dreck to wade through before you can find an honest or trustworthy newspaper, periodical, or tv news channel. But thank god for the internet, talk radio, and Fox News. Beacons of truth in the black world of liberal media.

Greetings, here's my follow-up article to "A New Low For Liberals", titled (surprisingly enough) "A New Low For Liberals (Part II)" ;o)
A New Low For Liberals (Part II)
By Edward L. Daley
The other day I wrote an article concerning the recent Al Qaqaa storage facility issue we've all been hearing so much about this week titled 'A New Low For Liberals'. It was my contention (and still is) that John Kerry and the left-wing media were wrong to have jumped to the conclusion that the American military allowed a large amount of explosives to be "looted" from that site after the area had been overrun by our forces near the beginning of the Iraq War.
I also pointed out the seemingly coordinated efforts by the Kerry campaign, the New York Times, and CBS News to use the information they had acquired to defame the president, without bothering to make sure the story was true before making it known to the American people. At that time they had not provided any real proof to support their claims. Even as I write this article, they have not offered irrefutable evidence to back up their assertions, and I believe now, as I believed then, that they would have run the story even if they themselves believed it to be fallacious.
If the story should inevitably prove to be true beyond all reasonable doubt, I will be more than happy to admit that my assertion that "the story wasn't true" was incorrect. Yet even if that turns out to be the case, it will not mean that Mr. Kerry, or the various liberal media organizations I referred to in my previous article, were right to jump the gun with respect to the subject at hand.
The fact remains that no one could have stated with any reasonable amount of certainty on the 25th of this month that the explosives in question were removed from Al Qaqaa after the war had begun. The Kerry camp and its confederates still cannot do so, nor is it likely they will be able to anytime soon. To conclude such a thing without any real proof at one's disposal is simply asinine, and to state publicly that such unsupported opinions amount to fact, especially so close to the presidential election, is nothing short of despicable.
By any means, ever since I wrote the aforementioned article, I have been receiving e-mails from various leftists who are all too willing to point out to me that further information has come to light concerning the Al Qaqaa issue. Of course, none of them seem to be interested in ALL the information available regarding this subject... only the information which they believe justifies their support of John Kerry.
One such critic of my opinions on the matter is a person whom I will refer to simply as Joshua. I have decided not to include his last name or the city and state from which he hails in this article, since I believe it would be unfair of me to publicly demean him in such a format. After all, he has no means of defending himself at this time.
Still, I do feel that it is appropriate to share with all of you his postings to me, and my responses to him. The following exchanges occurred this morning, and I am adding them here because I believe they will give you some insight into the mindset of this individual (and what is likely the similar attitudes of many other left-wingers).

Oh no buddy. You made me link to the David Kay transcripts. I'm sorry to do this to you.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0410/28/asb.01.html The only claim made in this article that's worth looking at:
Some explosives gone before invasion. I don't disagree. However, those were RDX, and we're talking about HMX. RDX was supposedly gone, but NOT the HMX. Kay specifically states that the explosives in the video appear to be HMX. Stop grasping at straws. The video proves they were there when we got there. We knew they were there before we invaded, for Christ's sake. The troops were told to move on to Baghdad and no one came to replace them and guard the explosives. Plain and simple.
Edward L. Daley wrote:
Kay has a right to his opinion, but that's all it is... his opinion. The fact is that nothing in that video (see MSNBC link above) is proof of anything. In the first place, simply finding some explosives after the war started, at a facility which was designed to store massive amounts of explosives, doesn't mean that the missing explosives John Kerry keeps babbling about weren't gone before the war began.
If I showed you a videotape of a dog at a kennel, that wouldn't tell you how many dogs had been in the kennel the day before. The truth is that you want to believe otherwise because it suits your political agenda, not because you have conclusive evidence.
Senator Kerry and the New York Times did not, nor do they now, have irrefutable evidence of the claims they've been making. The burden of proof rests solely with the people making the claims, not the people who are questioning the veracity of their assertions.
At the time the story first broke, and John Kerry began stating his opinion of the matter as it it were fact, there was plenty of evidence to refute his contentions. It was utterly irresponsible of him to say that X amounts of certain explosives were looted from that storage site after the war began. He had (and still has) no idea how much was even there to be removed, let alone when it was taken.
Joshua ****** wrote:
So you're gonna tell me that you know better than the US' own weapons inspector? A man who had personally dealt with these stockpiles? You've gotta be kidding. Sure, Kerry jumped the gun. How about Bush's misappropriations? It's called politics. Get used to it.
I'm glad Kerry's finally standing up and fighting back. It makes me feel good about voting for him. This story is just going and going and going and going, and it's NOT going in your favor. Each day, there is more and more evidence against your theories.
Edward L. Daley wrote:
What I'm telling you as a matter of fact is that Kay wasn't there at the time, and is only making an educated guess... a guess which, by the way, does not take into consideration several key questions concerning the situation. I'm sure there are plenty of other experts who would disagree with his conclusions. Beyond that, when you say that Kerry "jumped the gun", that is precisely my point.
This isn't some parlor game we're playing here, these are damning allegations he's making about the President of the United States during a time of war. Perhaps you can just write off his irresponsibility as merely the little white lies of a politician, but serious adults happen to think that when a man who's running for the highest office in the land calls our current leader incompetent, he'd better damned well be able to back up that claim with something other than hot air!
Furthermore, anyone who would say that they are proud of someone who behaves in such a disingenuous manner only exhibits their complete lack of character and honor.
Joshua ****** wrote:
I'm still having a hard time with Republicans telling us that Kerry is bad because he jumps to conclusions. Doesn't that remind you of your own candidate? Again, this is politics. Both sides are equally guilty of this shit, but Kerry is just finally coming around and playing dirty like he should have the entire time. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.
Edward L. Daley wrote:
In the first place, I'm not a Republican, and I didn't vote for Bush in 2000. Secondly, if your justification for excusing Kerry's irresponsibility is to say that everyone in politics jumps to conclusions, and that "playing dirty" is something that you actually promote in public officials, then you're too contemptible for me to continue debating with.
Joshua ****** wrote:
I don't advocate it in general, but this election has been "nastified" by the Bush administration. Kerry tried to play Mr. Nice Guy, and they told him to fuck off. He still tried and tried. He FINALLY grew a backbone and played their game, and now they're getting pissed. He'd lose if he didn't.
I don't like it, but he absolutely has to play at their level. THAT is what I'm happy about.
Edward L. Daley wrote:
You are delusional. John Kerry was the first and only one of the two candidates to use the words "incompetent" and "lied" regarding his opponent. To this day Bush has not used either of those words when talking about Kerry that I'm aware of. He has never said that the Senator intentionally mislead people on any issue, only that Kerry has used poor judgment at times, or was simply wrong about certain things.
He has refrained from calling Kerry a liar even though it is undeniable that Kerry DID intentionally mislead the American people when he stated that it was U.S. military policy to commit war crimes in Vietnam, and that the commission of those crimes (which Kerry admits to having committed himself) was "the rule, not the exception".
Once again your position has no merit; your claims no substance. No candidate in my lifetime has behaved more despicably than John Kerry has, in both the distant past and the present day. You are supporting a man who's capacity for telling provable, bold-faced lies is nearly pathological in nature, and nothing that you have to say about George W. Bush is going to change that fact.
John Kerry is the most widely despised individual to ever run for president by our military personnel both past and present... and for good reason. He either IS the war criminal he confessed to being back in the early 70s, or he intentionally lied about those war crimes in order to damn the very soldiers he served with. Those are the only scenarios possible, and no matter how you try to spin it, his own actions prove him to be unfit to be our Commander-in-Chief.
There's also the issue of his potentially treasonous behavior near the end of the Vietnam War which all reasonable American citizens have at least considered over the past year.
