You have read the finest book on the subject, sir.
Professor, if there actually were a broad Republican conspiracy to murder a Democratic politician...do you think we'd waste it on Paul Wellstone?
The co-pilot on Wellstone's plane did give Zacharias Moussouri the flight simulator software at the flight school they were both at. But that's a Red Herring. Al Queda isn't known for killing people with airplanes.
We need to give this guy a bigger stage between now and election day. I wonder what all the voters in Minnesota would think of this.
It will go nowhere. No investigation, no inquiry, no press, no controversy. It will sink into the black hole of public indifference.
He's dead Jim
I admit to being ignorant, but can someone give me some background info? I remember the plane crash and controversy about the memorial service, but I'm a bit lost on this conspiracy thing. Is this writer suggesting that Pres Bush had something to do with Wellstone's plane crash? What would have been his motive?
Sorry if this is a lame question, but I wasn't relly paying attention back then. Thanks!
The connection's not to Bush, but to the Clintons & related to their Travelgate scandal; also tied to Ron Brown's untimely death. As many loose ends and unanswered questions in this case as in the Bobby Kennedy assasination. It's a very tangled skein.
A direct quote from the Professor's new book:
"It were all done wif an e-lec-tric-al ray-gun. Top secret 'n' all. A body jest aimed thet feller and - poof - it blowed up Wellstone's plane. Jest blowed it up. I know it might sound a bit far-fetched, but, hell, I'm a perfessor so I kin say such 'cause I got cre-dentials."
How is the second shot explained? It was seen. I thought for sure there was one other person involved.
> ... the crash happened in October 2002.
Roger that.
I guess that just leaves us with rational explanations,
like those at:

Back on the 18th.
I think that John Heinz's death was also a Democrat plot. (/sarcasm)
8 | University of Minnesota Duluth Professor James Fetzer...called on Congress...to investigate the death of Sen. Paul Wellstone, who Fetzer believes was the target of a White House plot. |
To order to fully understand this conspiracy theory you first have to appreciate its pedigree. The man most responsible for promulgating this nutball theory, and a man often cited by Professor Fetzer in his own work, is Christopher Bollyn.
But who is this Christopher Bollyn?
Christopher Bollyn is an agent provocateur and paid propagandist working for the neo-Nazi Wallis Carto empire of anti-Semitic hatred, which is famous for such publications as the notorious "The Spotlight" and "Noontide Press".
In his capacity as a so-called journalist for "American Free Press" (not to be confused with Agence France Presse, which also uses the initials AFP), Christopher Bollyn has become infamous for advancing such theories as how the WTC may have been brought down by a "disintegration ray". Later, Bollyn modified his "disintegration ray" theory to become a claim that the WTC towers had been collapsed by thermite charges planted in the basement by government agents.
In the present case, Bollyn maintains that Senator Paul Wellstone was murdered by Zionists so that a Jew would be elected senator. It can't be more clear that the genesis of this theory is founded upon naked anti-Semitism and hatred and is being promoted by sources that are openly anti-Semitic, pro-holocaust deniers, neo-Nazi and skin head supporters.
And Professor Fetzer relies upon these sources.
