WASHINGTON, D.C. -- University of Minnesota Duluth Professor James Fetzer, a Kennedy assassination theorist, called on Congress Monday to investigate the death of Sen. Paul Wellstone, who Fetzer believes was the target of a White House plot.
Fetzer, a McKnight professor of philosophy, told a group of journalists and supporters at the National Press Club that the official government probe into the Wellstone plane crash on Oct. 25, 2002, whitewashed a broad Republican murder conspiracy, a charge he has made before.
"Something very wrong has happened in this case," he said.
Fetzer's assassination theory, now the subject of a book he co-wrote with a Northern Arizona University professor, Four Arrows, has been widely dismissed by government officials. The book is called "American Assassination: The Strange Death of Senator Paul Wellstone."
Given the Republican Party's control of Congress, Fetzer acknowledged that his request "has more symbolic than practical significance."
Oh for God's sake.
Let's start with Vince Foster.
Dude, yes it has.
Many times.
Let it go.
Paging Ron Brown...
I wonder what this professor thinks about Vince Foster's death...
With how insane the left has become, I wonder if their is a shortage of tinfoil for their hats.
DUmmies have been claiming this for years.. They live there own little world.
Step away from the huka dude. You've been there three straight years, just back away.
Gotta be Halliburton.
Yep I knew it. President Bush did it.
These idiots are really nutty.
About as valid as the moving van that blew up the Pentagon.
Despite thousands of witnesses.
maybe he can Oliver Stone to do a fact-based documentary about it and call it a movie...
Paul Wellstone was a socialist. He never met a government program he didn't like or a tax increase he didn't support. He felt that government should run every facet of a citizen's life and was unashamed to say so (unlike most democrats). For this he gets credit as an "honest" politician.
He voted against the Gulf War and any armed solution to the current Iraqi problem but supported Clinton in every military adventure. He saw nothing wrong with Clinton's obstruction of justice and lying to a grand jury. For this he gets credit as a "man of principle."
He promised to only served two terms. He was killed campaigning for his third term. For this he gets credit as "a man of the people."
His memorial service was a strange event. It was not even a service. It was a political rally. Issues and campaign speeches were made. People were yelling, chanting, smiling and laughing. Party leaders tried to out do themselves in how loud they could get the audience to applaud. The evil people (Republican Trent Lott and Independent Jesse Ventura) were booed and scorned for merely attending. There was excitement in the air.
Paul Wellstone's sons energized the crowd. They had just lost their mother, father and sister but they were leading the crowd, with fists in the air, with chants of "We will win!"
Democrats, at taxpayer expense, flew in from all over the country. All the major news outlets had continuing coverage and analysis of the speeches.
Nearly forgotten were the broken bodies of Paul, Sheila and Marsha Wellstone. They had become campaign props. Hardly any prayers were said. God was not mentioned. None said "may he rest in peace."
Paul, Sheila and Marsha are now before their God. May they rest in peace.
He's accusing Bush of killing him?
There WERE some strange things about Wellston'e death. IIRC, the co-pilot had had some minor contact with one of the 9/11 hijackers, either one of them or the 20th one now in prison. And he left a strange message with his mother just before his death. I forget the details, but it was VERY strange. However, I do think that strange coincidences occur. I don't have a clue about this one.
I honestly thought the dims were going to off Carter during Reagan week to counteract the love Reagan got, but Carter will probably not matter one bit.
;-)
Regards,
TS
And of course the Whitehouse would have known in advance Wellstone's funeral would turn out to be a Democratic "pep ralley" that enraged voters to the extent of voting Republican.
Paul's Dead....Deal with it
