What's even more amazing to me is that they don't even seem to be trying to conceal their outright support for one side. They have become so bold, and so much in a panic, that they just say anything they can find that the flimsiest basis for truth, make a front page huge deal of it, and then go on to the next such story. Are we as American citizens powerless to stop this out and out bold faced attempts to support one political party?

Over 340 tons of high explosives missing from Iraq, UN nuclear watchdog says
25 October - More than 340 tons of high explosives that had been subject to United Nations monitoring were
stolen or looted from a government facility in Iraq, the chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported today.
In a letter to the Security Council, IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei says the Iraqi authorities informed the Agency on 10 October of the explosives lost last year "throughout the theft and looting of the governmental installations due to lack of security."...
NYT won't retract a story given to them by the UN. Maybe if we contact the UN by email (or phone if someone can find a number) we can pressure them to retract this story.
