The NY TIMES has attempted to pull an October surprise with an apparent fabricated story that was even shopped to 60 MINUTES.
A huge cache of very serious weapons, about 380 tons of HMX and RDX, were supposedly lost because U.S. troops did not guard them. It is, of course, more evidence that George Bush is an incompetent commander in chief and must go.
Unfortunately for the Old Gray Lady, now seemingly to be closer to yellow for its yellow journalism, Jim Miklaszewski of NBC reported the truth in April of 2003 --- the weapons were gone before U.S. troops got to the weapons depot.
John Forbes Kerry, a traitor to this nation in the Vietnam era and an unthinkable commander in chief, used the phony info on the campaign stump yesterday.
If you would like to call the NY TIMES ---
Listen to the prompts and get to the news desk (I think one of the buttons was for international news)
(212) 556-1234
As if the New Yourk Slimes is going to listen to any conservatives complaints.
is this the paper whose editorial staff is now 75% gay?
not that their's anything wrong with that, but doesn't that show they are recruting and building their gay staff on purpose?
I hope this was the best they had, and they only popped it early because Bush was starting to surge. I hope Bushie has a good one up his sleeve for Francois.
So there was a stockpile of weapons, with possible nuclear capabilities, and they were there BEFORE we went in?!?!?! Isn't this the WMDs we have been looking for that the press has tried to nail the President on? The should be played up, big time. It's not just a story about the NYT trying to win the election for F'n, but also about the WMDs!
e-mailed earlier. If they would use the paper to boast an obvious lie (no research) they never will listen to us. The NYT's, CBS, MSNBC, ABC,CNN, and certain reporters on FOX are in the tank for skerry.
For Years now she's been dying,
Her reporters have been lying
Facts she's been hiding
Through ignorance and dread
The OpEd's a joke, guys
Reporting Jayson Blair's lies
Bumkissers with bowties
the Grey Old Lady's dead
Somebody tell the networks
Someone tell the unions
And the ACLU
Their Grey Old Lady's dead
Disaster for the Liberals
No whining for illegals
Their trust was an abortion
Their headstone's her Masthead
Go tell John Kerry
Go tell Tom Daschle
Go tell the Clintons
That Grey Old Lady's dead.
Don't forget, Kerry was also a 'Agent' for the Communists during Vietnam, and he followed their orders to sabotage the war. Wintersoldier.com has the original documents found in the archive, go and view them Kerry is a Traitor, and supporter of Communism.
Now that the left has opened that Pandoras Box, we should start a little consortium of Conservative activists that pledge to buy one share a Month each of a targeted company, (Viacom, NYTimes, TIMEWarner....etc...) and then allege in court that they departed from standards and practices common to which ever venue is being addressed Usually journalistic standards...), to the possible detriment of shareholders via loss of credibility.
I am fairly certain that two or three textbooks on media ethics would lay out a nice backbone for that sort of thing...And take a hint form the Pro Aborts and sue under the RICO statutes.
See above.
Sign me up. I'll join in the suit...
The general public may think 380 tons is a lot, but to sustain a large army like Saddam had, it is a minuscule amount.
On Fox & Friends this morning, they were still reporting this story as fact--I don't know if they retracted the story later on, but after I saw this, I shut the TV off.
So...the 300 tons "gone missing" was bogus ?
They will if they get enough.
bump
"is this the paper whose editorial staff is now 75% gay?"
You know, if you ever visit the DUmmie site, it's interesting how much play any 'gay-related' issue gets over there. This group forms the centerpiece of the angry left, and they have far too much influence in this country.
I called the number listed, followed the prompts to the international desk, and informed the monotone voice that answered (sounded like a very bored college kid) that I was calling about the bogus weapons cache story. I told him that, as he probably knew, NBC News had exposed the falsity of the story last night by reporting that its reporters were present and had verified the weapons were missing before the American troops even arrived. I told him that I thought the article was simply a partisan hit piece by the NY Times in the week before the election and that they should be printing a retraction, but that I doubted they would. He was polite and said he would "bring it to the attention of the editors." I urge you all to make similar calls.
I think The Note would have picked up on that, but they didn't.
Sounds bogus to me.
