Miami Dade FReeper Help Needed! Bussed-in Dems Overwhelming Local GOP.
First-hand request via Phone ^ | Oct. 25, 2004 | TheSarce

Posted on 10/26/2004 4:57:28 AM PDT by TheSarce

Calling all FReepers and Lurkers in the Miami Dade area!

The Bush-Cheney/GOP office in Miami Dade needs our help to counter swarms of bussed-in Kerry workers. The Dems have apparently targeted Miami Dade for extra-special -- ummm -- "treatment," and the local GOP needs additional volunteers pronto.

Volunteers are needed immediately, especially to help with holding signs outside the early voting polling places. The good people currently available are outnumbered and overworked due to the unexpectedly large quantities of Kerry troops. Some of y'all may not realize how important that last sign impression is before an undecided voter enters the polls, they've GOT to get more people on the ground with Bush-Cheney signs at the polling places, both now, during early voting, and on Tuesday.

They also need extra volunteers for walking neighborhoods/literature drops, phone banks, etc. during this all-important final week. The folks there are doing an amazing job, and now it's time for any FReepers in the area to step up and help shoulder some of the effort. If you haven't already, this IS the time to get out from behind the keyboard and get down to the Bush HQ and help out. They will love you for it. (The Dems most definitely will NOT love you for it, which is another reason it's such important and necessary duty!) If you have non-FReeper friends or neighbors who are concerned about what is going on, encourage them to volunteer some time, too. It's that important. You already know that, but it still bears repeating -- YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

FReepers know, more than the average voter, just how MUCH is at stake this election, and the lengths to which the Dems will go to win. The Kerry people are putting huge efforts into this area, way more than expected, apparently. This isn't some theoretical lesson in a civics classroom, this is where the rubber meets the road -- right NOW, THIS WEEK. Take a break from the computer and take a stand on the right side of history. Keyboard activism is good stuff and FReepers are geniuses at it, but actually showing up at the HQ and helping out in person is one of the most important and effective things you can do during this critical final week.

Please call the Miami Dade Bush-Cheney HQ today, the number is (305) 442-7700. The address is 850 NW 42nd Ave, Miami. Call 'em whenever you see this post, they're working hard and long hours. Tell 'em you're part of the FReeper reinforcements.

I probably should explain why a FReeper from Texas is calling for extra effort from our awesome Florida FReepers: I got a call from a Texas acquaintance who is visiting Florida and has been volunteering at the Miami Dade HQ. She doesn't quite understand what FR is, but she remembered me talking about "some people I knew in Florida" and asked if I knew anyone who could come and help them counter the waves of Kerry operatives flooding into the area. I told her I might be able to help get the word out. ;-)

So, even though this post comes from Texas, the need in Miami is very urgent and VERY real. This is your opportunity to make a real difference if you aren't already volunteering.

I was one of the FReepers who spent weeks marching around the Governor's Mansion in Austin during the nightmare of the 2000 recounts. The most common phrase heard from myself and hundreds and hundreds of conservative demonstrators was, "I've never done ANYTHING like this before, but I had to come DO something!" We didn't do it because it was easy or convenient, we did it because it HAD to be done. And we sure didn't have anyone paying us money to bus us in!

My acquaintance's vague memory of me "knowing people in Florida" stems from my telling folks about our recount experiences in Austin, and how, as amazing as that experience was, it was the FReepers in Florida who were the real heroes in thwarting Gore's attempted coup.

We've got a lot of new FReepers who weren't around back then -- Let me just encourage any FReepers or lurkers who may be a little hesitant because "they've never done anything like this before," that it doesn't take any special experience or expertise to really be incredibly helpful and effective. The HQ people have plenty for you to do, the biggest step is that you just have to show up -- and since we're conservatives, we're automatically armed with the courage of our convictions: we know what we believe, and more importantly, why we believe it. That's a much mightier thing than somebody getting paid to get on a bus.

Please call the Miami HQ and volunteer if you haven't yet. (If you have, know that all us non- battleground-staters send our immense gratitude!) If you're not in the Miami Dade area, call your local Bush-Cheney HQ and help them out. You'll meet like-minded people and play a vital role in keeping Kerry out of the White House. This is crunch week, the time to act is NOW.

BIG BUMP for the Miami-Dade Bush Team - I talked to them on the phone today, and they need help NOW!

Please, if you are anywhere in the area, and you can donate a couple of hours of your time, go and hold a sign. Make sure YOU are not going to explode if you get harrassed - we want the DEMS to be exposed as the intimidators here. We may need all the evidence we can get against them, so keep your temper in check!

Have been trying to get the word out to Catholics, Pro-Life, and Homeschool Groups. Will hit the net and phones again today.

Some people there seem to think Florida is in the bag based on polls. I don't think they realize how critical Miami/Dade is to Florida taking the state for Bush.

I noticed the same thing at an early voting site at the Oakland Park town hall here in Broward County. When I went in there was a woman holding up a Kerry sign outside but NOBODY holding a Bush sign.

Interesting! Michael Schiavo claims to have his due process rights violated when this case is not about Michael it is supposed to be about Terri. The only due process right that should be taken under consideration should be Terri's.

I cannot help but wonder where Michael Schiavo will be next week. Perhaps escorting his illegitimate children around Marrie Court in Clearwater, collecting candy, having laughs and enjoying Halloween. Meanwhile, his lawfully wedded wife sits abandoned, neglected and under a death warrant all in the name of Michael's due process.

Michael and his attorney are rushing to see to it that this judicially sanctioned homicide is carried out as quickly and neatly as possible. This is why the Schindlers should have every right to appeal the judges decision, have asked and have been granted. However Schiavo and his attorney appear to be undermining that due process. Schiavo is doing everything in his power to move to kill Terri as quickly as possible.

What this "man" is doing to his helpless spouse will effect you, me, your children, your grand children, and anybody else who lives in this country.

You should be aghast......so where do we go from here???

Cheryl

Today, the attorney representing Michael Schiavo, George Felos, filed a Motion to Vacate Order of Emergency Stay in the guardianship court. Earlier, Judge George Greer had granted a stay until December 6, 2004 as it relates to the removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube. This was done in order to give Terri's parents adequate opportunity to exhaust appropriate legal avenues in protecting Terri's religious liberties through a previous memorandum of law that Greer dismissed on Friday. The Schindlers are entitled to appeal and have asked (and received) a stay until such appeals efforts have come to pass.

However, Terri's guardian, Michael Schiavo, argues in this motion that his due process has been violated by the emergency order of stay.

There will be a hearing on the matter in the Sixth Judicial Circuit on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10.30a ET (GMT -5).

This is a potential problem with the "polls". People who think we've got it in the bag will stay at home. Keep on it freepers!

Wish I could help, but I better stay in east central Florida .....and maintain the Bush/Cheney street corners here.

We had about 20 Kerry folks last Friday on a main street corner, and so we're combatting that with a daily group of Bush/Cheney sign wavers for this week, with emphasis on Friday a larger turn-out in case the Kerry groupies come back.

Yes, FReepers will need cool heads to face these Dem operatives, thankfully FReepers are up to the task. Best behavior, folks -- it makes the Dems even more frustrated when they can't drag you down to their level.

(If you don't think you can keep your cool, you can still volunteer for other assignments. But boy, we need sign holders!)

Exactly. Due to its size, if Miami Dade is totally overwhelmed with Donk dirty tricks, it makes it much harder to make up the difference in the rest of the state. Guess that's why the Dems are shipping in unepectedly large numbers there.
