XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX MON OCT 25 2004 22:45:05 ET XXXXX
NBCNEWS: CACHE OF EXPLOSIVES VANISHED FROM SITE IN IRAQ BEFORE TROOPS ARRIVED...
The NYTIMES urgently reported on Monday in an apprent October Surprise: The Iraqi interim government and the U.N. nuclear agency have warned the United States that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives are now missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.
[The source behind the NYT story first went to CBSNEWS' 60 MINUTES last Wednesday, but the beleaguered network wasn't able to get the piece on the air as fast as the newspaper could print. Executive producer Jeff Fager hoped to break the story during a high-impact election eve broadcast of 60 MINS on October 31.]
The NYSlimes now has Rather as it's editor, it would seem.
Don't need to back it up with facts, the damage is done to CBS and NYSlimes.
He's thinking of one
BTTT
If memory serves me correctly, our guys took over in Historical time. unless skerry has a plan to beam the troops around. This is nothing but BS. I remember our troops going from site to site and nothing. That is what skerry has been whining about, nothing there, nothing there. Now all of a sudden, Iraq is over run with weapons. I would get banned it I called him all the names that fit this worthless POS.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh .... that's right
Looks like Kerry will have to come up with another reason to slam the President
Won't surprise me if claims he could beam them in
Edwards claims Kerry will make people walk again
Kerry Lied
Millions Died
Drudge now reporting:
News of missing explosives in Iraq -- first reported in April 2003 -- was being resurrected for a 60 MINUTES election eve broadcast designed to knock the Bush administration into a crises mode...
My first thought was: WHO is shopping the networks with this crap? Does Drudge know? If so, he had better spill it. I want to know WHO is selling this crap to the morons of the OLD MEDIA.
Okay, so now they're saying they WANTED us to go into Iraq.
I wonder if the general public will pick up on that.
Sheesh.
I think people really have had enough of this BS. It has been going on since the Conventions. At some point people turn off all of the media, and vote for the one they TRUST. And unless americans have suddenly gone stupid, the polls have shown Bush with that Trust.
Holy cow, 2 days into this story and TPM Josh Marshall has wrote a book on it...
THAT'S THE STORY. They had this lined up as their "aha" moment, but it's become an exploding cigar.
IAEA letter is now (via NRO) apparently fraudulent (we shall see). (mean what? that Iraq did not send them a notification letter but IAEA went ahead and publicized this fact anyway out of desperation to hurt Bush?)
MSNBC reported that on April 10th, soldiers went through 90 bunkers and found *no* weapons under any IAEA 'seal'.
No matter, TPM will cling to the nutty theory that the US military found the materials at the site and then somehow let it escape without their notice, even though several sources now say they did NOT find materials at the site.
If one Internet is a good thing, many internets must be better! :-)
"well as the revelation that Iraq actually reported them moved before the vaunted U.N. inspectors returned in 2002. "
source for this? THe IAEA claims that they verified the explosives were still there in January 2003.
Like the CBS/fake-memo-scam, it will take a while to shake out the truth here.
Does anyone have a list of CBS news' main advertisers or would they have changed since Rathergate I? What is the best way to torture them like they did Sullivan Broadcasting?
Wow, the MSM minions are going to have stories stacked up like planes at O'Hare to turn this election.
Be strong - VOTE BUSH.
That is right - there is a MSM-Kerry-UN-Euro-socialist alliance, and there is the alliance of those who believe in FREEDOM. They are mutually exclusive right now.
