I am afraid that release of these documents could win the election for Kerry. These documents could convince some Nader voters that Kerry is worthy of their vote. Most Democrats I know would just claim that these are fakes and an October surprise. It is sad how far in the sand the Democratic Ostriches have buried their heads.

I do not live in the same country you do. I can understand your depression or possible frustration in making that statement. The MSM grinds at us everyday. The grind on our children and our hopes.

I reject the premise that the people of this county hate more then they hope. I live in a country that believes in the morality of truth, the strength of freedom and the underlying belief that the American people are the freest people in the world. I live in a country were we choose to support our elderly with social security, not by right, but by choice. I live in a country were its citizens rejoice in good, fight for the freedom of others and respect the differences of all.

I will not stop believing that right and truth will always be the end result in America.

Are you talking about "prosperity" [third line from the bottom]? That's not proportional spacing, that's half-spacing which many mechanical typewriters (including some I've used) support as a means of trying to squish in an extra letter semi-legibly.

It's no fun when you have to explain sarcasm. (grin).

Nice speech. However, open your eyes. I live in a country where Bill Clinton was elected President twice. A country where a drunken senator killed a pregnant woman and is reelected for life. A country that has Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton making millions of dollars from being con men(sp). Nearly half of the people in this country are going to vote for John Kerry on November 2nd. 30 year old documents are not going to change that fact, real or fake. This election will be won or lost based on the here and now. One candidate declares he has a plan for everything but never syas what is in that plan. Yet, the msm does not seem to care. I have hope we will win despite this. It will not be easy.

This should be authenticated before we go spreading it about.

Absolutely right. I'm just a dumb hick sitting out here in the sticks, but something about this story just doesn't smell right to me. It seems awfully convenient that all this paperwork was found just a few days before the election, and after Bush's people have no doubt been doing research on Kerry's background ever since he won the primaries for anything they could use against him.

The Dems may be morons when it comes to running a country, but they're pretty slick when it comes to running a scam. If this is a Dem trick and we buy it, it could be much worse for our side than the CBS-Rather debacle was for the other side. This thing scares me for some reason, I guess because when something seems too good to be true it usually isn't. I hope there are much smarter people than myself at work authenticating the story in detail before it goes public in a big way.

Stating it was *found* is not exactly accurate. I think someone finally went through the thousands of documents and these are a few they have pulled so far.

Lipscomb has had these documents authenticated. This is real - we need to make the MSM give it legs somehow.

.

I will NEVER FORGET witnessing our enemy within JOHN KERRY's mirroring Hanoi Radio's every propaganda lie during the Vietnam War.

I can now just imagine JOHN KERRY telling us sometime during the next week up to Election Day that "I can protect you be better" after a massive terrorist attack against an American City or two or three by his friends..?

C'mon folks, let's not get too excited. Unless I missed it, the documents don't mention Kerry by name, nor the VVAW. All they do is confirm what the right has always known and the left still denies, the all protest movements against US policies during the Cold War had support from the Communists, whether they were started by 'useful idiot' or by the Commies.

Sure, the reference to their delegation at Paris sounds like a link to Kerry, but how much traction has that gotten?

We'd do better to try to get the media to focus on the Dutch film proving the KLA backs Kerry. A piece with that footage, some desacrated churches in Kosovo courtesy of the KLA, and discussion of links between the KLA and Bosnian Muslim extremists and al Qaeda would be devastating.

I have a capture of the image on page 25 if someone has a web site to post it on and then I can link it. Does this make sense?

Thanks, Just Dan, I really appreciate that, because I was too young to go to Vietnam, and I respect those who did, and their pain at the lack of support on the home front, so I find it difficult to cut back at the Vets here who feel really strongly about this. I respect what they have gone through, and understand their sense of betrayal by fellow citizens 30 years ago.

But I don't trust these documents, and in particular, as a Conservative and as an American, I am worried about a style of politics which tries to turn the people we disagree with into liars/traitors/criminals. Kerry is a misguided man now, and was seriously misguided in 1971. I am opposed to his election, and think it would be bad for America. I believe we can persuade the majority of our fellow citizens to share these views. But I don't personally believe he is a traitor-- I think his opposition to the war in Vietnam came out of a sincere if misguided vision of patriotism ---and I don't believe we can OR SHOULD attempt to persuade our fellow citizens that he is a traitor. It is a losing proposition, both in the short and long term.

As a conservative, my politics begins with a respect for the Constitution of the United States as left to us by the founding fathers. Those wise men forsaw the possibility of weak and bad and misguided men becoming president, and created a system of checks and balances to restrain the executive. I believe that President Bush will be re-elected. But if the majority of our citizens make the mistake of electing Kerry next week, as conservatives and patriots we need to fall in behind their decision. It does no good to stir a pot of hate and poison, which will sicken us. If that weak man is elected next week I will not rejoice, but I will extend to him that respect which I have as a patriot and a conservative for the office of the President. To do otherwise is to fall into the ways of the radical Left, and to erode the foundations of our constitution.

We can win on the truth:
(1) Kerry's weak foreign policy will make America less safe

(2) Bush's economic policy will prevail if we keep the course and the full supply side effect kicks in

(3) Bush represents the real culture and values of America

we do not need this sludge

Let's add this up. It was posted on the swiftvets board that the NY Sun is coming out with 2 stories tomorrow at least one of which has to do with Hanoi. Then on this board a hint was given to check out the wintersoldier front page after 8am tomorrow (this morning here). I think tomorrow could be a very fun day. :)

It is now morning.

I am reading my replies before anything else.

So can I still say I am eagerly awaiting? (grin)

John Kerry and Julia Thorne got married on July 23, 1970. They supposedly honeymooned in Jamaica, but they were in Paris at the end of the month. It must have been a busy week.

On the Winter Soldier website, Kerry met with the communist delegations in June. He honeymooned the month before the wedding?

"This sentence is particularly important in light of John Kerry's admission that he met with leaders of both communist delegations to the Paris Peace Talks in June 1970, including Madame Binh, foreign minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government (PRG) of South Vietnam, also known as the Vietcong. FBI files record that Kerry returned to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese delegation in August of 1971, and planned a third trip in November."

"Good Lord, this is absolutely astounding. Why wasn't Kerry put on trial for treason?"

Perhaps he was. Or at least a less than honorable Discharge. I would like to know. Kerry, sign the SF 180 you lying piece of sh*t.
