What disturbs me are the Florida numbers. W draws huge here and the polls have him tied. What a moronic state I live in. If you took out Broward and Palm Beach we would win in a landslide.

From the heart of enemy country in MA - just saw a very powerful ad for W. Showed him embracing the daughter of a victim of 9/11.

That girl lives just north of my house in Southwest Ohio (maybe 5 miles max). I remember seeing that picture a long time ago. Nobody can look at the look in the Prsident's eyes and not start to tear up. It's right near the Voice of America park where Dubya had that enormous rally recently.

Did you see (I think it was in the Herald) that his campaign was debating whether he should make a surprise appearance at a World Series game at Fenway? -- the downside is that they don't want him shown being booed on national TV! (He made a surprise appearance at a "Southie reunion" social a month or two ago -- he had been attending a fundraiser upstairs -- and was booed so heartily he left in a minute or two!)

----Since I live in a safe state, maybe I should head down there and suppress the black vote.----

You're heading over too? If I'd known I'd have brought an extra fire hose. :)

Seriously, I wish I could, but I manage a business so all I can really do is vote and bear a yard sign and bumper sticker. Virginia will be very blue though so don't let your hearts be troubled.

----I'm worried about W being in CO recently. Is he in any real danger of losing there?----

Nope. Colorado's solid.

Keep in mind... The campaigns pay NO attention to the "polls" except as the mouthpieces can point to them to show "Their guy is up."

The Campaigns have their OWN polling. which historically is MUCH more accurate.

Kerry's polls are telling him, He's LOSING States Gore won...

Bush's polls are telling him that hes WINNING states he carried last time, winning some states Gore won, and making it close in other Blue States... Kerry is on the ropes...

I think Rush brought up a similar point today in asking why Clinton was stumping for Kerry in Philadelphia. Shouldn't a place like Philly be sewn up a week before the election. Union people and blacks --- dems base --- why are they spending the last precious moments of a campaign trying to shore up democratic strongholds?

PLEASE ENLIGTHEN ME!! How in the world can sKERRY be ahead in the early voting if they haven't counted the votes? Unless there's something we don't know, like an illegal counting going on behind our backs, WHICH I highly suspect!! GAWD, IT'S GETTING INSANE!! Give us strength oh MIGHTY GOD, give us strength and WISDOM to know how to combat the EVIL rat's schemes!!!

Same way the media calls the election after only 1% of the votes are cast... Exit polling... and Florida 2000 aside, its USUALLY very accurate. But Florida 2000 was too close to even COUNT accurately (remember how the numbers changed after each recount?) let alone predict through polling...

Kerry is trying to draw to an inside straight. He has to take all the blue states AND Ohio or Florida. If, as seems likely in the Midwest, he loses blue states, he has to take them both, almost impossible.

I've been thinking this too. Campaigning must take a lot of stamina. It's crazy.

(I pity Kerry less because he's a billionaire.)

can I ask how you know about the gop inside polling. If someone will have to kill you if you tell me, just email me. I have an inquiring mind.

And did their inside polling tell them in 2000 that Bush was not in trouble?

i also heard that Bush was far behind in early voting

The dims have voted at least 3 times each, hence the lead. You can be sure the homeless and felons and the dead are showing up in droves for Kerry.
I can't for the life of me understand why early voting is necessary. I'm convinced it's yet another ploy by the dims to encourage multiple votes over a longer period of time.

Right, they wouldn't pull Clintoon out of his sick bed unless they were desperate. I just heard he looked real weak...they wouldn't do this if they were so confident.

wanna see something real crazy.
I have a scenario where we hold Florida, sKerry steals Ohio.
Then We take Wisc, sKerry gets MN, Iowa, Mich= 269-269!

Thenit goes to house andd our reps elect W....bwahaa. They'll be jumping off buildings in Dem. cities.

It won't happen but it's sure be a heck of a thing to witness...

I live in Bay City, and Bush is coming to Saginaw on Thursday. My son's senior class is helping at the rally and getting VIP seating! How cool is that!!!!!

didn't matter where Cllinton was as it was all over tv and got national exposure. Besides, maybe they didn't want him far from his doc. The man doesn't look very good to me and this campaign trip is a bad idea. he looked peaked. If I were his wife, I would have put my foot down or maybe not given the husband he has been. Then again,,,oh never mind.

Some countered that by saying that Republicans were more likely to vote absentee (via the mail)

Probably because more Republicans work for a living than Democrats.
