""Bush is starting to pull away from Kerry and it will translate to a large electoral college win."

If those internals are correct, it seems to me the MSM line would be closer to the truth than. Truthfully, does it not? I realize it was a weekend poll though."

Putting all the swing states obscures the reality in my opinion. I think Bush is getting killed in Oregon, Washington,Maine and maybe Michigan. That skews small but real lead in Ohio,Iowa,Florida, and Wisconsin. We need to see Gallups individual state numbers.

Jim Robinson and most of the FREE REPUBLIC klan are clearly on the fringe of humankind, thank goodness. No concern for human well-being, except their own. Many comments are bigoted, wimpy, and whiny, suggesting poor souls living in hidden pockets around the country. You guys are just like the Ku Klux Klan - oh so strong when talking up a storm in their own gang, but wimpy when it comes to standing up on their own, without the integrity nor intelligence to engage a challenging discussion.

I have to say about this lost soul (that is if he has one at all)....is this typical or what? They shout insults (usually laced with profanity) at people with opposing points of view, and then say that WE are the ones who have neither the integrity nor the intelligence to "engage in a challenging discussion". This is the mind set of the new Democrat party. This is the mindset of those too blind to see the forest for the trees (which is why our Forests are burning down all over the place). These are the words of the compassionate, the tolerant, the thugs who vandalize, threaten, and are conspiring to steal one of the most important Presidential elections in history. Screaming down the wrong road, this is the traveler desperately needing to make a U-turn. This is why we HAVE to get out the vote for Dubya! Our lives may depend on it. There. I feel better now.

I challenge anyone of you to match the respected high-caliber minds endorsing Kerry compared to those supporting Bush ( try this, do Google search for terms: Nobel laureates science + economics or law officers or teachers + Bush + Kerry : YOU TOO will discover that all those groups, with global respect for accomplishment and intellect, support Kerry overwhelmingly...

Al Sharpton
Jesse Jackson
Max Cleland
Wes Clark
Dennis Kucinich
Howard Dean
Ted Kennedy<>Al br
Gore
J. Carter
Bill Clinton

You bet! Dull minds that only Stalin and Marx would love.

Thanks...these numbers have meet very optimistic. The internals are excellent, and the President seems likely to hold Kerry under 70% with minorities, but I remain a bit worried about why the race is so close in the battleground states.

I appreciate everything you have posted this election at this board. You are one of so many without whom this approaching victory would be impossible.

Wow. Please accept my sympathies for your loss. God bless your dad. He is singing and laughing and dancing with the angels, and there is no pain, no sorrow, only love and light.

Nader does not appear on the ballot in half the states so only half of his supporters can vote for him. He's not going to get 1% this time around. The Democrats' move though, seems all for naught. Bush will do as well as his job approval rating or two to three points ahead of his poll standings. My prediction: Bush 53% - Kerry 46% all others, 1%.

As for Bush vs. Kerry, I challenge anyone of you to match the respected high-caliber minds endorsing Kerry compared to those supporting Bush.

I guess the troll has never heard of our current Economics Nobel Laureate Edward Prescott or past winners such as Vernon Smith, James Buchanan and Milton Friedman.

Of course, there are a number of lefties who have won the prize and support Kerry, for reasons I simply cannot fathom.

All you Free Republic hounds will see, as soon as Jim Robinson, who edits this website of anything bothersome to his blinded view, sees this email, he will rapidly block any further correspondence - can't take the challenge, can't stand the heat !!! So, if you viewpoints had any merit, what's the problem with some opposing views ?

DU IS FAMOUS FOR ALLOWING OPPOSING VIEWS HUH?

This person is impressed by "high-caliber minds" and goes on to define same.

Missing from his list of people that might possess such minds are Military Commanders and Business Leaders. Those types went to college, too.

I remember from my corporate career the difference between real smart folks, that couldn't get much done, and the folks that made the wheels turn.

We all know the universities where he thinks the smartest people work, are frozen in the 60s and 70s.

The left has had no new ideas, for a long time. Their sole claim for power is that they are "smarter" (read "nuanced" or "complex").

To Contemplation and others, I would like to say that Mr. Jim Robinson is a very decent man and is providing a great service to the nation. I care deeply for his efforts from his wheel chair. Most of freepers discuss their views in this forum based on facts.

I would also like to say that the President G. W. Bush is a good man. Go Bush!

That's quite a gap between likely and registered voters.

Bloomberg is reporting the "Gallup/USA Today/CNN Survey" (the Gallup Poll), but Bloomberg is also obfuscating it and burying it in obscure, less reliable polls (the ABC survey, for one, which included a huge percentage of not-even-likely-voter respondents). Other publishers are not reporting it yet, at this minute, or reporting that the whole Election hinges on women voters (whose majority are pro-Kerry, see table above), etc.

Friends, there are few "undecideds" left, and I doubt that many of those who have not yet voiced a decision will vote at all.
