In the Today Show, Katie said that Kerry is disingenuous saying that Bush is fearmongering. She told him that (Kerry) is fearmongering with flu shots, the draft, etc. Kerry said "No".
Then Katie said: America has not been attacked and you make them nervous. The Kerry went on a litany about OBL, boring
Also Kerry said that he "laiid down my life on MY line" What?
Kerry was terrible, he was boring and nos convincing. He went on a ramble about his campaign speech, borrrriiiingggg.....
Kerry takes a camera to Vietnam and spends 4 months tour of duty filming his own scenes and he calls THAT laying down his life.....?????!!!
Lynn Cheney stated it best..."This is not a good man."
Katie Couric actually conducted a 'tough' interview with Kerry? Tough by her standards anyway. Are pigs flying past my window?
Yep--something happened a few weeks back. Whatever her motive(s), she is not making it easy for the demonrats now.
Gov, can you fill in the details?
Great point! We need to start repeating, as the MSM did during the Bush 41 campaign in 92, "He (Kerry) doesn't seem like he really wants to be President."
Oh, turnabout is fair play!
Gotta say: I've been watching this campaign as closely as everyone else here. I think Katie is a security mom. On many social issues, she's still got the perky left in her, but when it comes to terrorism and this war we are waging, she seems to get it.
It's sounding more and more like the Dems have resigned themselves to the fact that Kerry is going to lose:-0
I'd love to have Katie in our fold. She is cute.
He's so full of himself, his eyes are turning brown.
BTW, Katie was looking good, especially for a Monday morning too...
Heard some audio clips of Kerry on various radio stations and if these are the good clips, the man has just about given up. Boring, monotone, and incoherent.
Is there a third option?
Couric: Let me ask you about the politics of fear. Saturday you said the president keeps going around the country trying to scare people, but you have also employed these tactics, one might say, by saying if the president is elected there might be a draft. People might have to work into their 70s or 80s because social security could be in jeopardy. Youve raised the specter of bioterrorism based on the flu vaccine shortage. So isn't it the pot calling the kettle black to say that the president is scaring the American people?
Sen. Kerry: No, it is profoundly not at all and Ill tell you why. Because, number one, if we have more of the same policy in Iraq, where we have nine out of 10 of our active duty divisions are either in Iraq, coming back from Iraq, going to Iraq and you face North Korea, which is now a nuclear threat, and Iran, which is an increasing threat and you already have stop loss policy, a back door draft on your Reserves and your National Guard the president has said we're making progress. Hes going to do more of the same in Iraq. So how he's going to do that and get the job done when our own people tell us, "You don't have enough troops on the ground," is beyond me. I think that
this is an anxiety that's not been on Social Security, Katie. Its not my program that's privatizing Social Security. Its the president's program. He has chosen to do this.

Also Kerry said that he "laiid down my life on MY line" What?
I caught that too. I suspect it was a Freudian slip. He has specific lines to speak. To memorize "my line" I go over it again and again.
Or, it could be from the home movies he made in Vietnam. Sort of, "My life in the Vietnam War where I laid my life on the line".
He sees his internal polls and he can't figure out how to turn them around now. Everything he's tried so far has turned to dust.
By the end of the week, he'll look like the inside of a toasted cheese sandwich.

A few weeks back was the third debate- the one where Kerry clearly showed what an ass he is by trying to sound pious about Mary Cheney while snidely hanging her sexuality "out there" to try and turn off some of the GOP voters. And anyone who has ever survived the personal destruction politics of junior high school understood EXACTLY what Kerry was doing..
The third debate the MSM mostly either ceded to Kerry or called a "tie". The debate virtually every non kool-aid drinking person saw as clearly defining the difference between GWB and Kerry as men, as husbands, and as leaders. GWB has been climbing ever since that third debate.
Freepers were ebullient and called it for the Pres. We "get it".
"I would be more scared of being interviewed by Katie Couric than any other media person."
Ann Coulter put her in her place.
