[history]
From the article by Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker:
"On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?"

I was thinking more along the lines of Charles Manson and his freaky friends...

I sent the article to the Secret Service with the suggestion that this tea sipping twit be declared persona non grata.

"John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?"" That does it! Time to declare The Gurdian an outlaw, terrorist organization and send The Green Berets after them. First order of business will be to blow up their ugly offices in London, hopefully with the moronic English skunk who write this piece if garbage, Charlie Brooker still at his desk, so he can go join his nasty English ancestors in hell where he belongs.

They always want us to stay out of Euro Politics... except when they are getting their weenies kicked in the dirt by a nation that HAS a pair, then they come crying to us. Fags!

It's in England. We have no jurisdiction over that Euroweenie rat's nest. Oh, I think something can be "arranged."
He calls for the assassination of our President. I call for preemptive action against him.

That is the most astonishing thing I have ever read in a so-called reputable newspaper.
An idiot like this writer could plant the seed in a crazed mind. What on earth was he thinking?
I hope the President's folks read this----it is a veiled threat.
I'll bet this guy wrote columns about the "vicious" treatment of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib, yet what he has done is far worse.

What a jackass. I can't wait for Bush to win, just to shut these guys up for a while.

He seems to be mourning the passing of the "civilized" assassination politics of the Saddam and Taliban regimes.

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. "Praying, praying..."? If, by "the entire civilised world" he excludes America (as he must, because more than half of this country is *not* praying that Bush loses), then that leaves what? Pretty much godless Europe, for whom any sort of prayer would be an improvement.

Scratch a militant leftist, find a thug. Do people really think that Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and others murdered around 100 million people in the 20th Century with their own hands? They had lots of help, willing to do anything to win and get power.

Why is it that euros always assume some sort of superiority?
Based on what they've done in europe, and what they've done in history, they don't have any reason to.
To: EggsAckley; GeorgeBerryman
This guy should be reported to the CIA.I think they are aware of him .... now!
To: GeorgeBerryman
Not only does Brooker advocate the assassination of President Bush; but, he revels in the assassinations of Lincoln and Kennedy and the attempt on Reagan. Now, his is a person of whom the British, and indeed all of us, really can be proud.
