Stranger things have happened. Iowa went for Gore in 2000.
OREGON !! Wow....
Oh, wow. That's much better. Okay, thanks.
I'll take that bet. Bush has Mississippi and SC in the bag. I think he's ahead in Oregon too, and probably Alaska. There is a big battle being waged in Ohio, but I think if the fraud is kept in check, he'll take that one too.
They will all be black if Kerry is elected. He initially will cut 100,000 contractors from the government already stated such on CNN... Then when he rolls back the tax cuts from small business expect a severe loss of jobs from the small business sector rough estimate 900,000 so now we are over a million jobs lost... Next he will stop outsourcing and then foreign companies will stop insourcing and will pull out of the US. That will cause the job loss of approx 5-8 million more americans. Then he will regrow manufacturing and call center low wage jobs using the unions as a tool...
Instead of moving forward Kerrys economy will take us backward...
Welcome to the free republic and congratulations on your first two post ever right here on this thread.
Old numbers. WI is right now 4.8% and in September it was 4.7%. These must be numbers run in August and published September.
Headlines last week said all the battlegrounds had declining unemployment numbers.
Not everyones votes are connected to their wallets...
Democrats, neo-cons(ex-democrats), government employees of all types, and of course some senior so-called citizens... excepted.. The public treasury has parasites hanging on it like Vampire BATS..
They're not? Well, crud. There goes the explanation I had for Bill Clinton's re-election in 1996.
LoL.......

Iowa and the deep South are miles apart both figuratively and literally.
While Iowa is a potential swing state, SC and Miss are solidly in Red.
Easy money. In fact, I'll bet you $100,000 Mississippi and South Carolina (both brown) go to Bush and Vermont (yellow) goes Kerry.
I'll see you ten dollars and go $25 that Alaska carries Bush - probably by the biggest margin in the 50 states! Alaskans understand the concept of "making hay while the sun shines" so expect the best from them.
It's very interesting how states like lightly populated northern prairie states like North and South Dakota aren't doing too bad while Alaska is purple (you'd think they'd have a constant labor shortage), Oregon of all places is purple (what did they do wrong?), and D.C. (where you would have to be pretty hopeless not to get any decent job offers) is purple. As for the great lake states, I wonder if part of the problem is Canada's economy as well as the perpetually fading steel/auto industries.
Are you running a later version of netscape? If so, putting the cursor over the picture and clicking might do it.
Has alaska ever voted for a Dem?
