RENO, Nev. - John Kerry said yesterday that if he had run the war against Afghanistan, Osama Bin Laden would be dead or in chains now.Kerry has accused his rival of letting Bin Laden escape before, saying U.S. forces had the terror mastermind cornered, but left his capture up to Afghan warlords.
He upped the ante yesterday at a rally in Reno, saying, "Can you imagine trusting them when you have your 10th Mountain Division, the United States Marine Corps? I would have used our military and we would have gone after and captured or killed Osama Bin Laden."
A Bush rep called that "another exaggeration of John Kerry, saying anything no matter how untrue it is."

We Greeks have a paradigm as old as time itself when it comes to answering the "coulda, shoulda, wouldas" of our world, and it goes a little something like this.

If the RNC was smart they would say, "ONe of the biggest problems of the Korean and Viet Nam war was that people in Washington tried to run every detail of the war instead of letting the generals run the war. That is the difference in Republicans and Democrats. One knows their job and the other is always telling everyone they could do your job better - except most have never held a job...they are politicans.

you have to do it in a way that passes the test, that passes the global test where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think he'd have gone to that no man's land in Pakinistan and found UBL himself by now -Yeah Right!
I just 'think' he'd have ratted out his squad if there was any collateral damage that he'd helped in doing too. Cuz' after all, sure he did some horrific things, but nothing as bad what some bogus special forces in detroit told him that this guy, and that guy, and that guy did!
The problem is, sKerry thinks (and wants us to think) that catching OBL is the sole goal of the war on terror. It is but one piece of the puzzle.
