Strangers on my flight,
turbans they're packin'.
Wonderin' if they might,
plan a hijacking.
They could pull a stunt,
before this flight is through.
Something's on their minds.
I saw them mutter.
What that in their hands?
Looks like box cutters,
I'm gonna kick some ***,
if they make a move.
Strangers on my flight.
Two smelly people,
and they're not talking right;
and in a moment,
I will grab base ball bat;
and that will be that.
Swing like Joe DiMaggio,
and rip them both a new *-****.
And if they pick a fight,
and try to screw us,
I'll punch out their lights,
just like Joe Louis.
It would feel so right,
for strangers on my flight.
Ratta Tat Tat Tat,
Budda Bing Bang Boom,
Zooma Zooma Zoom.
Send those *******s to the moon....
Saturday Night Jukebox on FRiday night?! AWESOME...MUD
Sarge is up late into the wee hours, taking care of The Boy's allergies and coughing - he rests, but Missus doesn't...
Well, on Friday afternoon, Sarge got to do his greatest duty - he voted. Rolled into the polling place in Louisville just before closing, and had one good chuckle. The dear sweet old lady who was filling out voter forms had that drone voice going: "Will you be out of the county on Election Day?" "Will you be out of the county on Election Day?" Poor old girl must've been saying that for hours, until Sarge walks up in full uniform:
"Will you be out of the cou-AAAH, I guess you will!" Everyone got a good laugh.
Flashed my military ID, told them where I'd be on Nov. 2nd, voted, and left - all without incident.
Looking forward to GI'ing the house, packing for the trip, bold and daring exploits on the field of honor, and a good amount of FReeping this weekend.
Sarge will be in and out of the area all day, so Let's Have Fun!
SARGE
DISCLAIMER: If you want to be on/off Sarge's Canteen Roll Call, FReepmail for details.
Great thread diva!!
Galz, I don't know who to thank, for the Howard Jones tune!
That was THE hottest dance mix back 20 years ago, when Old Sarge was Young Lieutenant! Brings back loads of memories!
Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaattttt thread!!! As usual!
I'm poppin' in for a bit to say howdy, then I'm gonna do the Sunday night thing on Friday night!
Piper! YOU are SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!
Man, that sure is an eclectic mix of music.....all good, though!
Well it's still *Friday* night where I live, but I'll raise a toast to all our troops serving now, and give a big shout out to my mom and dad who served in the frigid cold of North Dakota in the Air Force. Dad down in the hole, finger on the trigger when Castro was importing Soviet nukes, and my mom making sure all the men in Minot were healthy.
Here's to you all the veterans who let me be born free, kept me safe when I was just a baby and all the soliders who still keep me free now!
How wonderful. Mack the Knife and Big Bad Leroy Brown. Haven't heard 'Mack' in years.
It's a shame Jim Croce died so young. He had so much talent. His 'Time In A Bottle' is one of the greatest songs ever.
Can I suggest 'Prehaps Love' by John Denver and Placido Domingo for the next jukebox? A strange combination but it really works, great harmony.
I was in Kuwait in Nov. 2001 to Apr. 2002. I does get cold.
We got gloves, but, they arrived in January.
SALUTE!
