I have been listening to Rush, I am in Central Ohio. Every break our local news is running an ad by The Media Fund and it is incredible. Stating as fact that "In the middle of the night, while no other planes were flying Bush called planes in to carry the BinLaden family safely out of the US. They could have given information as to Osama's whereabouts, now we will never know, etc., etc." Is this just running in Ohio or have others heard it. It is unbelievable.
i hope we burn through their money fast.....
Yup, the Media Fund has been relentless lying. Unfortunately, there seems to be no effort by the Right to counter what they are doing. That's why I have no problem believing that Bush is behind in Ohio.
This is unbelievable.
How many brain washed stupid people are there in America? I guess we will find out 11-2.
How desperate must you be to run with a piece of Michael Moore propoganda that has been proven 100% false on national T.V. Not only had the FBI interviewed these folks, but it was Richard Clark, famous Bush Basher, who, on his own authority authorized them to leave.
They are wasting their money on those commercials here in Northeast Florida, too. I doubt they will sway the overwhelming number of Republicans here to switch to Kerry.
Richard Clarke already said he did it alone.
Any fence sitters or Democrats read that book or watched that testimony, so who is the ad targeted for? Conservatives? We already know Clarke did it, as well.
What a waste of money.
Richard Clark a famous Bush Basher? Bush's website has it as recommended reading.
The Socialist Democrats have been working overtime in the state of Ohio - and - hardly anything is heard from the other side in some areas -
I called to get a sign for President Bush and the local offices are all out. She said they had at one time 5,000 signs - and that - that was a high total for them. The number sounds low to me -
Oh well - it will be who turns out to vote - not the signs - that will matter -
OHIO FREEPERS ALERT! CALL 614-481-6397 AND COMPLAIN. I am furious. I have just called 610 WTVN radio and I am demanding the ads be pulled. They are responsible for the vetting process and they are promoting lies. I was told that it was being checked at this moment because of other calls and someone will return my call within 15 minutes!
We are hearing a variation of it here in southern Ohio, tying Bush to the Saudi royal family, and the royakl family to terrorism. The lies Kerry is running here are appalling.
If you are anywhere near Springboro in SW Ohio I know where you can get a sign today.
http://www.610wtvn.com/contact/
is the contact page at this radio station.
Phone numbers and emails.
Let them hear what you think!
No I'm not - but I just might make my own sign. Have Kerry all around in this area -
I've also been getting calls like crazy from the nutty left -- It has been an all out effort by the Socialist Democrats - hard to take when you hardly hear peep from the other side in response -
Nov. should be interesting -
Take care and thanks -
I thought I just read a story where Soros wanted nothing to do with Moore. Media Fund is ran by Soros and they are running Moore's B.S.. The DNC will continue to amaze me. I guess McCain-Feingold really showed them......... Man this stuff irkes me...
You're mistaken. Scroll down to the "Suggested Reading List" and take a look for yourself. No Richard Clarke.
My guess is that you've mistaken Clarke's book for Bob Woodward's Plan of Attack. Given the common misconception that Woodward's book was critical of Bush, there was some news coverage regarding the "surprising" addition of Plan of Attack to the Bush reading list.
This has been talked to death - Richard Clarke (not President Bush) - ordered the planes to take the family out of the country (with permission from the FBI) - for the family's safety - not because they knew something.
Ah, yes. Very much my mistake. Still weird to see Woodward on Bush's Suggested Reading List.
I am in a small, poor county in WI. We had an allotment of 330 signs. I ran out about a week ago, all on word of mouth that I had them and we only had a late county fair and one GOP meeting to distribute them. Maybe I had a month total to pass them out.
I got another 75 or so BC04 signs and maybe another 50 combined down-ticket signs. People keep coming by for them and I have a Young Republican meeting Sat I will take the rest to. I probably have about 40 left.
Whatever isn't taken at the meeting will go into a field I own on a well-traveled County Hwy.
FWIW, our signs outnumber KE04 by maybe 20-1. There are yards w/D down-ticket signs and no KE04.
We only need 1 vote per ward in the entire state to beat our 2000 vote totals and we have an anti-fraud strategy in place. We have a lot of Democrats for Bush and a lot of ex-Democrats, as well.
I only had 2 people come in to replace stolen signs. They replaced each stolen sign w/2 or more new ones, too.
We have had a good showing of letters to the editor and only about 4 were an organized letter-writing attempt. The YRs will have a full page ad in the weekly next week: Youth Supports Bush.
Our Farm Bureau tells me the farmers are supporting W by a wide majority. We have a lot of active and retired military and Guard and reserve units in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have a lot of Evangelicals and most Evangelical churches are, according to pastors and active congregants, going solidly for W. Many Evangelicals here did not vote in 2000 after the rumors that W was not pro-life and the DUI *surprise*.
Many of our supporters are pumped.
All just FWIW, of course. An ecdote, not data.
