Love Is In The Air: Rush's opening segment from 10/21/04.... Well worth reading.... GO RUSH!
www.rushlimbaugh.com ^ | 10/21/04 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 10/22/2004 9:46:40 AM PDT by RushCrush

All right, ladies and gentlemen, as you gaze out over the country, and as you watch the news each and every day, do you not get the impression that love is in the air? Do you not? I do. I look out over the country. I watch the news each and every day and I see the party of love. I see the party of warmth, of feelings. I see that party reaching out to all of us. The Democrats, yes, the party of love, they offer understanding. They offer compassion. They are reaching out to those in need with wisdom and judgment and sensitivity, all over the place, ladies and gentlemen.

(Playing of Love is in the Air.)

RUSH: Christopher Reeve would have been walking. He'd have gotten out of that wheelchair if John Kerry were only president. Laura Bush never had a real job. Oh, she was a teacher? I forgot. She still never had a real job. Laura Bush is a robot, said Bill Maher one day. How about Joe Biden yesterday? Lots of love in the air from Joe Biden. Bush is brain dead, he said.

(Continued playing of song.)

RUSH: And then the Kerry campaign says, "Why should Vice President Cheney get a flu shot?" Even though Bill Clinton got one. And John Kerry himself, Vietnam veterans were war criminals, they committed atrocities. The party of love and compassion and warmth is full of nothing but pure unadulterated hatred, ladies and gentlemen. Just listen each day. You can't miss it. They hate.

(Continued playing of song.)

RUSH: And this just proves that it's not really what Democrats think, my friends, it's what they really try to hide. The Democrats try to project this notion that they are full of love and compassion, that they have the greatest care for all of the infirm and the sick and the thirsty and the hungry, and in fact if you listen to who they are, what they say, they are nothing but vile creatures filled with a seething rage and hatred that they can no longer mask.

They try to hide it, but they are failing and it has kind of come home to roost. This is not the way you build a majority movement. This is not the way you build momentum. This is not the way that you inspire people to follow you. And they are not doing so. And I don't even care what happens in this election. I have no clue what's going to happen in this election, but I'm just telling you that this is not the way their movement gets built, and it is not a movement that's building. The Democratic Party governed by its very shrill liberal wing is in a steady state of decline, regardless what happens in this election, the steady state of decline will continue.

I find this a bit odd, he should care what happens in this election. Does Rush have the feeling that Kerry will actually win?

kool aid drinkers refers to Jonestown, the cult followers who all drank kool aid laced with poison and died. Cult followers=kool aid drinkers=liberals

The point of Rush's opening segment is optimism for the future of conservatism, and the demise of the Democrat party.

I wonder what he bases this belief on. It seems to me that if they can get their hideous candidate elected, they're hardly in decline.

Jim Jones had all his followers drink cyanide laced oool-aid when the Government came to investigate what was going on in their camp (suicide pact).

My wife just voted in Broward county FL. She thinks most of the people in line sKerry buttons on.

Should I be scared of going there after work and just standing by the line with a big Bush/Cheney sign? I'm having second thoughts. Look what happened to Ann Coulter at U of A.

I don't know. I think he's right about this. If we're actually stupid enough to elect Lurch I think that the electorate will rather quickly realize what a colosal mistake we've made. If Kerry gets in expect 2006 to mirror 1994, and that would really doom the Rats to minority party status for another 25 years.

Don't get me wrong, I really think that this thing is going to go our way. I don't believe that he'll get in. But if he does, the American people won't put up with extreme left wing liberalism for long.

Today, Friday (10/22) Rush started his program with a recording of Kerry obtaining his hunting license in Ohio. Kerry is heard asking "can I git me a hunters license here?"
Hilarious ...
