BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Margaret Hassan, the kidnapped director of CARE International in Baghdad, has been seen on a videotape aired by Al-Jazeera pleading for her life.

In the video aired Friday by the Arabic-language TV channel, an unblindfolded Hassan is speaking to the camera, sobbing and crying.

"Please help me, please help me, these might be my last hours.... Please help me, please British people ask Mr. (British Prime Minister Tony) Blair to pull the troops from Iraq and not bring them to Baghdad.

"Please, please I beg of you, the British people, to help me. I don't want to die like (Kenneth) Bigley. I beg of you, I beg of you."

This is how Al Qaeda will attempt to change the election. I predict she will beheaded next Thursday. Expect a week of propaganda tapes from these thugs showing this woman begging for her life begging for troops to be withdrawn from Iraq.

What's really sick is, right now, in the Kerry campaign headquarters, they are actually happy about this.

I'm going to go vomit now.

this may be bunk designed to hype this website, but it makes sense to me:

http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/

Date: 19 October 2004
For Immediate Release

Note: The information contained in this release meets the criteria for classification as a “Tactical Warning.”
The Northeast Intelligence Network has analyzed specific information that indicates that the terrorist network of Abu Musab al Zarqawi, currently operating within Iraq is actively seeking to capture and recruiting other terrorist networks and operatives to capture one or more of the following “High Value Targets”:

Any member of the US Military
Any US humanitarian aide workers, especially western females
Any personnel from countries supporting the rebuilding of Iraq and its infrastructure., especially western females.
The information suggests that the intent is to capture at least one or more females, especially those operating in a humanitarian capacity for the purpose of political exploitation immediately preceding the US Presidential election in November.

Last week, it was reported that leaflets were distributed throughout Baghdad that promised a reward of $100,000 US dollars for the successful and specific capture of the “high-value targets” listed above. Additionally and nearly concurrent with that distribution, al Zarqawi released a statement of allegiance with Osama bin Laden; after a careful review and analysis of the text of the taped message of Osama bin Laden in conjunction with the statement issued by al Zarqawi last week, it is likely that the statement issued by Abu Musab al Zarqawi contained an operational “go signal” for the capture of such targets.

Accordingly, we are urgently advising all personnel in Iraq, especially those in the city of Baghdad, to exponentially increase their level of personal security and to be watchful for any surveillance. All humanitarian personnel should be accompanied by armed guards at all times, and it is further imperative that all such guards have been thoroughly screened by western companies with western interests.

Based on the information and data analyzed by the Northeast Intelligence Network, it must be stated that in the event of a successful capture by the terrorists, time is of the essence and it is imperative that every effort is made to recover the hostage or hostages before they are transferred to Tawid wa Jihad as planned.

Information currently under analysis suggest that any captives will be transported in the trunks of vehicles, the false bottoms of trucks, or by non-authentic security personnel who have possibly infiltrated the civilian organizations. Accordingly, it is recommended that all vehicle travel to and from Baghdad be carefully monitored, all vehicles are thoroughly searched and all credentials are verified.

CARE, a liberal group who believe that if you just be nice, these folks will like us, faces reality. A lesson for them, and for John Kerry supporters.

If the damned Brits hadn't been so infernally wishy-washy sentimental regarding the last incident, the terrorists wouldn't have bothered with this unfortunate woman.

This is so sad. Imagine how one would feel if this were a wife, mother, sister. These terrorists will stop at nothing to insure that Kerry gets elected and pulls us out of Iraq. Expect more of this stuff before the elections here AND in Iraq. NEVER GIVE IN

I firmly believe if they behead this woman prior to our election that our country will rise up in condemnation of this brutal act and Bush will definetly have a landslide...

Lord, I pray you'd change these demoniacs hearts...if not that, then I pray you'd allow her to escape...if not that, then please give us their coordinates for a rescue operation, if indeed she's alive...if not that, then I pray that the demoniacs get sloppy or tired and screw up...and have big bombs send them to hell. Above all, I pray that Mrs. Hassan has Jesus before she's transferred onto the rest of eternity...Amen

I would have to think this woman was aware of the dangers involved in her "occupation".

It seems she has now awaken to the fact that she is perhaps going to go the way of Bigley, and wants Great Briton to change the outcome of world history for her.

Not today, I'm afraid.

I would not give those cowards the satisfaction. If I were in their hands, I would consider it my duty to give my life for my country. They can kill my body but they don't command my immortal soul.

The Brits have the same option that we do: Fight the terrorists in Iraq or at home.

I agree with your sentiments. I wouldn't want to either. But I honestly don't know how I'd behave if I were in that situation; knowing who held me and knowing what may be coming. I wonder if any of us know for sure how we'd handle that.

I heard an interview last weekend with Thomas Hamill, the American man who escaped his captors. He said that it was best to stand up to them, don't show fear, and don't beg. The Islamofascists don't respect that.

It is the worst thing we could do to cave in to their demands. It would simply escalate such incidents.

I would have to think this woman was aware of the dangers involved in her "occupation".

Margaret Hassan fell in love with Iraq more than 30 years ago, when she travelled there as a young bride with her Iraqi husband Taheen Ali Hassan.

They had met while studying in London and the former Margaret Fitzsimmons, from Dublin in the "land of a thousand welcomes", fell in love for a second time with Baghdad - formerly Madinat al Salam: City of Peace - and the land known through time as "the cradle of civilisation".

She converted to Islam, learned Arabic and took Iraqi citizenship.

Pulling Britain out of Iraq will not change the terrorists tactics.

And for anyone who says that the War On Terrorism should not include Iraq: you only have to look at what those who oppose democracy in Iraq are doing, and you will see that the opponents of democracy are in fact terrorists. It only confirms we were right to go into the center of Iraq, the core of terrorist activity.

I'm not sure, contrary to much opinion otherwise, that something like that would help the Dims. In other countries maybe, but here I would think it would only enrage Americans and push more of their votes to the candidate who's more likely to act and less likely to subpoena the would-be beheaders.
