Iowa or Wisconsin....Which is the best possible pickup?

Posted on 10/21/2004 6:26:54 PM PDT by TortReformer

If one looks at the last 15-20 polls in both states, it seems to me that Iowa is the best possible pickup of a "Gore" state. While the President may very likely pickup Wisconsin, I think that this is a close second... Comments????

Many of those registrations are bogus. Democrats were paying folks to register voters. Don't be scared. I have a feeling that a majority of those new Democrat voters are as substantial as the smoke blowing up Kerry arse.

I hope this is the case. I felt sick after that segment.

Yeah, I'd agree with you.

Especially if it's Bush. Bush has large coattails. His visits almost always lead to big bounces no matter the state involved.

Bush is likely going to be in Ohio and Florida at the very end. The only question is which will be the lucky remaining states to be hit the final few days of the election. The Bush campaign will choose the Blue states they feel right on the cusp of truning red, imo.

As to the original question, just an opinion, but I'd pick WI over IA.

We should lure the Kerry campaign into putting to much emphasis on one state (Ohio), then put together a few smaller states... oh wait, that's what we are already doing.

I agree that President Bush is more likely to win Wisconsin. In 2002, WI elected a new Democrat to be governor. He won with about 45% of the vote because the Libertarian got 11%. The majority of voters voted against the liberal, and, this year, the majority will vote against Kerry.
In 2002, Iowa reelected a democrat U.S. senator and a democrat governor, and each of them got the majority of the vote.

Bush will pick up WI, IA, NM, MI, PA, OR and more. Bank on it. This is not a close election, despite what Zogby is saying.

We're not losing FL.

If that happens, I can't see Bush losing.

What troubles me about WI is the way it swung back to Kerry after the debates. Tells me their gullible or at least malleable. Hence, my conclusion that whomever visits the Dairy State last....

IA is more likely than WI.

Yep, Bush will take FL, NM, IA and WI

Kerry could take PA and OH and Bush still wins.

I live in Toleduh, OH. I still think it is about 50/50 here leaning to Kerry; but only in the city. I was out in defiance and Wauseon. The Bush signs are in almost everyones yard in Wauseon; it is like 30 to 1 Bush. The only place Kerry has a lock is in the inner city of Toleduh and Cleveland. The inner city of Toleduh will vote for a Rat no matter who the Rat is. Bush will take Ohio by at least 5 points.

For the next 2 weekends, I will be in Racine, WI to drag people's souls to the polls. Kerry can have my state of IL, but I will defend my northern neighbors.
