Bomb Discovered on Train Tracks? (North Carolina) VANITY-Never verified
Police Source | 10-21-04 | my favorite headache

Posted on 10/21/2004 12:52:33 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

I am not stating this as 100% fact but apparently a bomb was discovered this afternoon on the rail tracks in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I wouldn't post this unless I trusted the source. He is a police officer out of Orlando himself and said in confidence that it was found in a suitcase.

Has anyone heard about this locally and if so..what buildings would be of special target in that region to plant a bomb on the tracks? Is this a transportation issue or do trains run through the city past a major building?

Again...this is fresh info told to me minutes ago and it was told to me only because he got the info himself earlier today.

"He told me earlier...just spoke to him now and asked if anything was on the net about it or not..which made me put the thread up and question the story for the locals on FR about it."

Well, there is stuff on the web about it now, since you posted. That doesn't make it true, of course, but it's certainly on the web.

Winston-Salem police officers spent several hours Wednesday chasing
a cow through the streets and woods of the city.
=====

Thanks for the laugh and memories.

I learned to fly, by catching the end of a rope on a horse that had escaped and did not want to be caught.......

I flew about 2 foot above the ground, until the brain kicked in and I let go.....lovely Technicolor body.

Yes, it is almost impossible to stop a cow, when they choose to be free.

Reserve the shower for stories about airplanes. However, it might be appropriate to take a sponge bath whenever a breaking story like this is posted.

Besides, all that stuff is getting a little heady. I need to entertain my brain for the rest of the evening.

You mean the North Carolina dialect or the Florida dialect? this story is complicated. I'm glad FR got it before Little Green Footballs.
