. . to sue for several champagne-related slipping injuries.<<<
This could set a precedent for ALL alcohol-related slipping.

Very funny, but you shouldn't be giving Steinbrenner any ideas.

Here's a little known factoid that gives a glimpse of Stinebrenner's true personality. Stinebrenner owns a small (two boats, I think) steamship line carrying bulk commodities (coal, stone, salt)on the Great Lakes. While EVERY other steamship is clean and offers first class uniforms and chow to its officers and men, Stinebrenner's boats are unkempt, ragged, dirty and have a bad kitchen reputation. Its the last job you'd want as a sailor on the inland sea.

Typical. Steinbrenner is not a well-liked human being.

Don't these guys on his ships have a union?

Its a shrinking industry that hasn't seen a strike in decades. US Steel just sold off its steamship fleet to the Canadian National RR. The Canuks got around the Jones Act by opening a defacto front office on the US side. Columbia and American Steamship have essentially merged their fleets via joint dispatching. Bethlehem Steel's fleet was sold a few years ago.
Paul Martin, Canada's Prime Minister, owns Canada Steamship Lines which recently brought in one of their bulk steamships, the Birchglen, to Duluth for iron ore. While they were in town, they laid off the Canadian crew (they painted out the Maple Leaf) and brought aboard a new crew of Ukrainian sailors. The unconfirmed story is; they are taking the load of ore to mainland China.

Genius! Great stuff.

BTW, anyone know where I can find that pic of Hillary (or Ms. First Lady if yo' nasty) with the Yankee cap? I have to taunt a Yankee fan on another forum I post. Thanks.

After the game, Yankees manager Joe Torre announced that he was a gay manager, and would be resigning on Nov 15th.

"------the Yankees had actually outscored Boston 45 - 41-----"

That kinda points out how the Electoral College works. (for dummies who keep wanting the popular vote.) It doesn't matter who had the most runs in the whole series!

Funny, clever piece!
