Not wanting to make the same mistake the Yankees made last year when the lost in the World Series, the Yankees declare Victory this morning.
"Last year we gave up before all the game films were closely scrutinized." said Yankee Manager Joe Torre. "We discovered several errors that could have given us the series, and we prematurely conceded defeat, not this year. Obviously the racist call against A-Rod will be a sticking point along with the fact we scored more runs than those Commie Red Sox."
The Yankees have already made travel arrangements to play whomever wins the National League series.
lol!
Good one. It sounds like they are taking a page right our of Terry McAwful's playbook.
Good one! Republican umpires disenfrancised the Yanks with intimidation! Have the Yanks named a transition team?
I try to stay away from vanities and just reply to the great posts of my fellow freepers, but I have to post this. I am so fed up with having to look at Derek Jeters reaction to every single play in post season. The network pans to his mug at leat 80 times a game. Granted , he is a tremendous ball player i give him that, but the cameras are panning in to the pretty boy looks and it is sickening. A-rod hits a homer -pan to Jeter. Pedro strikes out Sheffield-pan to Jeter. Foul ball- pan to Jeter. They used to do the same crap when Warren Sapp was in Tampa. It just makes the experieince of the game frustrating to watch. So GO BOSOX, even though somehow Kerry will relate how he helped them win. It is still good to know that you can't always buy a championship.

Post of the day:
I thought the team that scored the most runs won. The Yanks outscored the Red Sox 45-41 over seven games. By measuring the number of games rather than the number of runs, a lot of the runs scored by the Yankees in the third game don't really count. Let every run count!
I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan, but if we were using this method of scoring, the Sox would have won the 2003 ALCS.

I think next year when the Red Sox play the Yankees, Red Sox fans should start showing pictures of the Hildebeast in a Yankee cap, just like Yankee fans show pictures of the Babe.
A repost from another thread?
The Yanks waited too long to alert us to this massive fraud, just like Al Gore. Following the Kerry plan, they should have declared victory in the 8th inning and left it at that.
That's right. We need to abolish "by-game" scoring. It's outdated and unfair!!!
no , it was a post i was going to make but decided against it as the freeper intellects would've crucified me for wasting space
Well I have to agree with you. I also must add that Fox has improved it's coverage. Last year each pitch was replayed I swear 10 times, this year they limited it to three.
Terry is taking being a sore loser to new levels. Being a premeditated sore loser really takes the cake.
Yeah, planning out your losing before the game is actually over is a genius tactic. John Kerry has put together one hella a team to come up with that stunt. Hopefully this genius will flow into all areas of our life's and we can all learn how benefit from this paradigm shift of an approach.
I am sure there is a good 'equal protection' arguement there. Why should a run in a blowout count less than a run in a close game? The more I think about it, the more possible I could actually see a court ruling that way.
LOL!
DING DING DING! WE HAVE A WINNER!
You aren't the first to notice this phenomenon. I dislike John Elway and Dan Marino for the exact same reason. The idiots in the press box used to talk about those two when their teams were not involved in the games they were broadcasting that day. ELWAY, ELWAY, ELWAY.....MARINO, MARINO, MARINO. Elway got lucky and had Terrell Davis. Marino went to one Super Bowl and lost that one. I got sick of the constant fawning over these two average quarterbacks. To hear the press, those two were wonderful.
If they were so wonderful why do the two of them account for only two Super Bowl victories with a combined 30+ years of playing time? Yet, they say that Terry Bradshaw is dumb despite the fact that he went to four Super Bowls and won all four.
Idiocy is not confined to only the political pundits.....it extends up into the broadcast booth also.
They are pretty much doing the same thing now with Brett Favre and he has won only one Super Bowl. The sad part is that I used to admire Favre but am beginning to dislike him because of the idiots in the press box.
It's just sickening.
LOL, this is funny.
