The sensibility gap has beat the "abortion gap" to the punch and abortion will be part of the sensibility in Dubya's second term.

John Kerry-10/13/04 (Presidential Debate): I will defend the right of Roe v. Wade.
4/23/04: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass speaks in support of baby murder aka abortion at national rally in Washington, D.C. Kerry is flanked by Kate Michelman, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, left and Gloria Feldt, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, right. Feldt also lavishly praised Kerry at the Democratic National Convention.
Kerry on abortion-10/7/04: You know, it's just not that simple.
G.K. Chesterton: Moral issues are always terribly complex, for someone without principles.
Kerry on abortion-10/7/04 But I can't take what is an article of faith for me and legislate it
Being against killing unborn children-abortion is not an article of faith, it is being humane and civilized. It is a scientific fact not an an article of faith that human life begins at conceptionnot birth.
Birth is one day in the life of a person who is already nine months old.
Abortion is murder.
This serves Catholic Kerry right.
This article doesn't even mention all the children of DemocRATS who were aborted years ago. They are not available now to vote for Kerry.

I got phone polled on pro-life/traditional values just the other day here in OH. It was my pleasure to respond as I did.
Seems that killing babies is getting to be a harder and harder sell.
Both abortion and the gay marriage issue will be the feul to victory. I think gay marriage vote will give Bush a victory in Michigan.
I would like to see one about the gay marriage gap. I think Bush has that one in the bag too.
From a purely objective point of view, if Bush announced a major policy speach, and at that speach declared that he'd also be calling for an amendment to end abortion in the US, excepting cases for rape and incest, he'd win the election. Don't flame me for excluding rape/incest, I'm simply showing the strategy that he'd need to win.
A couple of points I was hoping to see here....
- 40+% of Democrats are pro-life
- The case can be made that abortion is a net loss issue for Democrats among undecided. Women are just not as pro-choice in general as the MSM would like you to believe.
- If not for aborted children of families that tend to vote Democratic, Gore would have won. This 'aborted' electorate is only hurting the left more and more as generations continue.

P.S. I sincerely pray the Democrats drop this pro-choice plank sometime, and give people like myself more of a choice when I vote. I cannot vote for a pro-choice candidate. I suspect that the pro-choice plank helps to radicalize the Democrats more to the left than they might otherwise be.
"If pro-life voters remain strongly behind Bush, the Abortion Gap could make all the difference on Nov. 2."
Unfortunately, the pro-life movement has a significant number of sanctimonious deacons who will not vote for GW because he is "not Pro-life enough." They are the same ones who sat out 2000 because they thought they were too good to vote for a mere mortal like GW.
Hopefully they will have learned their lesson, and some Christian humility, along the way of the last four years.
The President has held that those who aid and abet terrorists are to be considered as the terrorists themselves.
I say those who enable abortionists by withholding their vote for a prolife President are to be considered as the abortionists themselves.
