Posted on 10/20/2004 10:29:29 PM PDT by Cableguy

"I fought for the 9/11 Commission, something George W. Bush, the man my husband Ron and I voted for, didn't think was necessary. And during the Commission hearings we learned the truth, we are no safer today."--9/11 widow Kristen Breitweiser in a Kerry campaign ad released yesterday

"Because of offensive actions against al Qaeda since 9/11, and defensive actions to improve homeland security, we believe we are safer today. But we are not safe."--executive summary, 9/11 Commission report

She says she voted for Bush in 2000? Baloney. She is a partisan hack.

Someone please tell this woman and her buddies that we understand her pain (and hindsight), but a good number of us are extremely grateful there hasn't been a repeat of 9/11 with President Bush at the helm.

The Jersey Girls have sold their Soul to the democrat Party. Facts mean nothing, just as long as they can get their face in front of the camera and recite the DNC talking points, the cameras will not leave their side. Let them say they have come to their senses and will vote for Bush and the cameras will leave

The first thing these partisan hacks say, is that they voted for Bush. This is so blatently transparent as the lie that it is, that you'd think they wouldn't even bother to try. But the media eats it up, a la McCain, when he's against any Republican cause. These punks are routinely hailed as courageous crusaders, going against their own party. What a load of crap.

MEDIA ALERT: Campaign launched to appoint 9/11 Widow on 9/11 Commission

A mass email campaign has begun reaching out to tens of thousands of concerned citizens encouraging them to lobby Senator Daschle to appoint Kristen Breitweiser to take the place of departing Max Cleland, who will likely be confirmed at the Import-Export Bank tomorrow (Tuesday). http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/WO0312/S00060.htm

I don't. She made a conscious decision to use the deaths of 3000 people, including members of her own family, as chips in a tawdry political poker game.

My sympathy for her and the rest of the "Jersey Girls" is nonexistent.

Sorry to say so, but I agree with that. The Jersey Girls went
fully political with the beginning of the 9/11 Commision.

There were SEVEN terror attacks on Americans during the last Democratic administration. Count them folks. Including the Oklahoma City bombing, the last democratic administration allowed 7 terror attacks to happen! The last democratic President did NOTHING to beef up security and prevent further terror attacks. No policy changes or intelligence changes.

During the last Democrat administration we also had; The Waco debacle; The Ruby ridge mess; and the Elian Gonzales tragedy. Remember a Democrat president appoints all new department heads, just like the ones who made these monumental mistakes.

And now we have a Republican President who decided to stop playing games and put a stop to terrorist acts around the world. A Republican who got rid of these evil dictators during his 3 year administration: The Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Charles Taylor and Jean-Bertrand Aristide (Put in office by the last two former democratic Presidents) This Republican got Libya to give up their Nuclear weapons, and North Korea to accept inspectors. Hundreds of terrorists have been captured, and dozens of terror plans have been foiled.

We had ONE terror attack during this Republican administration. Changes were made, and security beefed up. A "Homeland Security" department was created; the intelligence community reshaped and reformed; and a huge increase given to security agencies.

It is a disturbing reminder of our true nature to realize that there will always be some among us who will sell out for political gain.

GWB put his own family and life in harms way when he adopted the "whatever it takes" stand in this war. (Yes, it's really a WAR, John, but that's something you wouldn't really know about, would you?)

The only thing more despicable than this woman using her personal tragedy to besmirch those who would avenge the death of her husband, is the one who uses it to usurp undeserved glory for himself.

I find it inconceivable that anyone who voted for Bush in 2000 would vote for Kerry in 2004, unless they are gay, in which case we lose about five votes.

Don't vent all the anger on Mrs Breit. She's just one of the props that the Kerry campaign trundles on stage, then packs away for the next campaign stop. What else was she doing in Iowa, and where else? Haven't seen his Swift Boat guys for a while now. Probably used up their value. Now it's the Widows. I don't believe I've seen similar human props used by Bush in his campaign stops.
