To Senate President Richard Cheney, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Attorney General John Ashcroft
We, the People of these United States, rightfully petition our national government to prosecute John Kerry for "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" and to disqualify him for national office.
Kerry has a long and well-documented history of providing "aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of war -- particularly in the case of North Vietnam, Nicaragua and Cuba. Kerry, by his own account of his actions and protests, violated the UCMJ, the Geneva Conventions and the U.S. Code while serving as a Navy officer. Kerry met, on two occasions, with North Vietnamese negotiators in 1970 and 1971, willingly placing himself in violation of Article three, Section three of the U.S. Constitution, which defines treason as "giving aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of warfare.
Thus, in accordance with the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, which states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President ... having previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof," We, the People of these United States, believe John F. Kerry is unfit for public office.
It is for this reason -- for his record of giving aid and comfort to the enemy while a member of the U.S. Armed Forces in violation of this oath -- that Senator Kerry should be prosecuted and disqualified for national office.
We understand that no action is likely to be taken on this petition until after the 02 November election. Be it known, however, that on 03 November, we will seek full recourse in an effort to have John Kerry prosecuted for acts of treason and disqualified from any future campaign for any national office. We are thus committed to holding Mr. Kerry accountable for his actions, as there is no statute of limitations for acts of treason.
NOTICE: This petition for indictment was delivered to Senate President Richard Cheney, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Attorney General John Ashcroft on Monday, 18 October 2004. We are currently awaiting a reply from the Department of Justice. Click here to read the full text of the letter. Signed,
Do you think that Congress will jump to act on any internet petition signed by a few people? I don't, especially if they call their petition an "indictment."
Perhaps it would be more impressive if they called their internet poll a "death sentence".
So true. This should be Bush in a walk. The fact that it isn't (at least according to the polls) does not speak well of us as a people. That Americans could even consider such a dangerous man is extremely discouraging - and the worst part about it, in my mind, is the message it is sending to Vietnam vets...especially those who were POWs.
The idea of those men listening to that droning voice - the same one they heard in captivity - this time, as CinC, is beyond heartbreaking.
If people are too lazy to make an informed decision about John Kerry - worse, if they are informed but don't care - then God help us all.
You have a valid point there.
In the early Sixties it really started to snowball with Madeline Murray O'Hair driving God out of the Schools.
Then the Drug Culture and the decadence of America by the Liberals and the changing climate in the schools brought about by too much Government interference.
And people like Kerry eroding out pride and ability to function as a Constitutional Republic.
When I saw Clinton get elected in the Nineties the first thing I though was that God was judging our country.
We must have done something right, because Gore and the Democrats failed to steal the election 4 years ago.
That's why the Democrats have already put into action their machine to steal the election through the courts in all close states.
Even if Bush wins by 10-15%!
We are fighting the worst kind of evil here.
Clinton WAS impeached; he wasn't removed. There is a difference.
Re. #22:
"...Isn't it unbelievable? What a NIGHTMARE. If this lying, traitorous creep wins, Americans deserve whatever bad things come to us, I'm afraid."
I'll say. And any of us who audatiously signed that petition will be standing by for a visit from the People's Liberation Gestappo in short order, too!
I was hoping to find at least one rational human voice in reaction to the idiotic, sophomoric and waste of bandwidth of this stupid idea. Cousin Eddie, thank you..

So, should I start holding my breath?
We had a rapist in the White House, and while the House put their butts on the line, the Senate was a bunch of spineless weasels.
I believe that it was Ted Stevens (please correct me if I'm wrong) who said that Clinton wouldn't be convicted by the republican majority senate if he was seen killing a woman on the White House steps! I don't think that things have gotten any better.

Well, at least we'll have a certified war hero in the White House if Kerry wins! Of course, it's a shame that he's a war hero to the enemy...

Bob Dornan, aka B-1 Bob; James Trafficant (he was a dem. but had some good conservative rants) and it seems like there was some little guy from Texas (besides Ross Perot). But, for the most part Republicans are too busy "respecting" the "gentleman from MA" or the gentle lady for CA". All that polite crap makes me sick. I would rather they speak the truth instead of spouting such hypocrisy.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a Vietnam vet, watching this unfold and hearing him described that way.
As soon as Kerry announces a victory following the election results showing that Bush the clear winner, this indictment should be put on the front burner, bog down the Kerry legal machine, and allow President Bush to "get back to the business of the American people" to steal a phrase from WJC.
I think we would do well to do what we can to make lots of noise about this.
I don't think it will go anywhere. I think the puppet masters will squealch it one way or the other.
But we would be remiss if we didn't do what we could to demand redress.
imho.
If this was delivered, what is the status? How can you find out the status of a charge like this?
Interesting.

There must be a clerk or public affairs office with the authority it was filed with.
I don't have a clue at the moment. Would have to search it out. And have a long list of other priorities. Mostly praying about such things is my capacity at present.
Thanks and please ping me if you find out.
