At a history class, a professor mockingly tells a female Jewish student she cannot possibly have ancestral ties to Israel because her eyes are green.
During a lecture, a professor of Arab politics refuses to answer a question from an Israeli student and military veteran but instead asks the student, "How many Palestinians have you killed?"
At a student meeting on the topic of divestment from Israel, a Jewish student is singled out as responsible for death of Palestinian Arabs.
Those scenes are described by current and former students interviewed for an underground documentary that is causing a frisson of concern to ripple through the Morningside Heights campus of Columbia University, where the incidents took place.
The film, about anti-Israel sentiment at the school, has not yet been released to the public, but it has been screened for a number of top officials of Columbia, and talk of its impact is spreading rapidly on a campus where some students have complained of anti-Israel bias among faculty members.
"The movie is shocking," one Columbia senior, Ariel Beery, said.
"It is shocking to see blatant use of racial stereotypes by professors and intimidation tactics by professors in order to push a distinct ideological line on the curriculum," Mr. Beery, who was interviewed for the film, said......[snip]
>>I'd sure like Columbia's donors to see it, too.
Bingo! Double bumpity-bump for that. Hit'em where it hurts, in the wallet.
As a Columbia grad myself, I almost find this hard to believe. The school was known in my years there as the one Ivy League school with virtually no bias against admitting Jewish students--and as a result had a very high percentage of Jewish students.
However, the Mid East Institute has had some very controversial professors who are pro-Palestinian in recent years.
I have to believe this will be straightened out immediately if it is true.
Leftists at Columbia beware. Your bias will be exposed.
LOL! :) That would have been a great comeback.
Bollinger was formerly the pres of the U of Michigan and Michigan was the focal point of the affirmative action issue.
It shouldn't come as a shock to any of us the fact that the liberal education elite is rampant with anti-semitic sentiments.
As bad as this is, higher education is not the end of it. You have probably all read about several HS classes being shown Fahrenheit 911, but it has sifted down to the elementary.
Tonight, my daughter in NH, a hotly contested state, called me very upset about her sixth grader's Soc. Studies teacher. Her child has let it be known that his family is Republican. This man, at plymouth Elementary School, Plymouth, NH, has been telling his sixth graders that Bush is against education, has eliminated grants for higher education, and let the automatic weapons ban expire, among other things. Further, since he knows the family affiliation of my grandson, he sneeringly asks if the class Republican has anything to say. If there are other children of Republican families, I guess they are intimidated and don't let it be known.
I told my daughter to call the Supt. tomorrow--not the teacher or principal, but the Supt. and strongly protest. People had better wake up and find out how our children are being indoctrinated with lies from the left. Any suggestions? Should I call, too--I live in another state?
Paint me totally incensed.

I noticed your tagline, were you a SAC command control weenie?
Thanks for the ping. If there is any chance of seeing this film/documentary, I'd like to do so.
Lots of self hating jews on the Upper West Side. Not enough of the pro-Israel porud jews in that hood.
Coach your daughter to stand up for herself in class and not be bullied by the teacher. Help her learn the facts to slam that teacher good and embarass him.
It is my 10 year old grandson's class. My daughter is getting ready to "slam" the school system if they don't reign in this teacher--this is 6th grade! And she does tell him what is going on and that everyone has the right to stand up for what they believe. But a 10 year old ought not to have to "stand up" against a teacher pushing libereal views on sixth grade.

If we Americans don't attack such behavior
we are two-faced laughing stocks.
Brutes with podiums. Surely damnable.
Why don't you tell that to those professors who generate tremendous incomes through consulting work or whom run their own businesses. Say like those at MIT, Stanford etc.
Contempt is a weakness one should never afford those one believes themselve to be opposed to.
I'd like Columbia donor's seeing it followed by a news microphone put up to their face.
Progressive Tolerance BTTT!
They are exceptions to the norm and they are likely much too busy to be doing the kinds of things described here.
