What Are You Doing To Calm Your Nerves?

With the talk about voter fraud, the fact that Kerry will declare "an early victory," and the fact that Kerry will contest no matter if Bush wins, I am getting stressed out. Each poll is like a roller coaster. What are you guys doing when you need to take break from this madnesss?

I go to the grocery store and deface Heinz products. Very calming! I've painted Kerry's face on the bowl of my commode in a bullseye. Very calming. I play Teresa Heinz' voice backwards to scare away squirrels from my bird feeder. Very calming. I've invested heavily in hairspray futures. Very calming.

I go to our local Republican Headquarter's and work the phone banks to get out the vote. Then come home and drink wine and pray.

As others have said...

I pray and pray some more. Leave it in God's hands. That being said, I still get irked by the MSM.

I also calm my anticipation by poking fun of the yellow dawg liberals like Al Franken... he's such an easy target.

I get on my combat character in SWG and kill some Nightsisters and go to Endor and do space kung-fu on some Ewoks. Nothing like the screams of Ewoks ringing in your ears as you slap the ever-lovin' snot out of them with a razor-bladed set of brass knuckles.

Sometimes I just make combat droids on my other character, or send my personal killing machine out after rebel scum I come across.

Very very satisfying.

I remember when watching baseball made me too nervous, especially a 7th game, but watching a 7th game to calm my nerves may be on the old scedule tonight

It's especially fun to set them up for a righteous moment of intellectual dishonesty from which there is no retreat - when they would rather dramatically create a 'stomp-off' event (love those) or a SHRILL DEMONIC episode for all to see...I just shake my head and laugh at Kerry-ons.

Praying and cleaning my house

I find that praying helps me out a lot too! I wish cleaning my house helped to calm my nerves, my kitchen floor needs a good scrubbing. Maybe I will try it. I can picture the floor being Kerry's lying, cowardly face. Hmmmmmmm.

I tell ya, watching these polls hour by hour and day by day is just like weighing yourself every day. A few ounces here and there is just water weight. The polling trend is what's important (which is in Bush's favor), plus Republican enthusiasm for their candidate as opposed to Democrat enthusiasm for their candidate (again, in Bush's favor), plus I have implicit faith in the inherent laziness of people who don't bother to register to vote unless someone grabs them in the mall and twists their arm.

Don't forget that quality, contemporary Christian music station that always gets taken for granted, yet is always there for a 'refocus' moment...
