This is one last all-out effort to reach any undecideds or motivate the base. We have twelve flyers (for all types of audiences or neighborhoods). Several folks have asked what they can do to help (besides the obvious). You can distribute them or email the links to folks who might be able to.
We have sent flyers to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri - the more the merrier. Please let us know if we can add you to locations where flyers have been passed out.
The second thing each of you can do is ping this like a mad man at least once a day for the next twelve days. Most of my free time will be spent Emailing churches and campus groups. I won't start another link unless I have a new flyer, which is unlikely unless there is an October Surprise. In that case, we will get one up as quick as we can (within hours!).
Here are our recommendations as to where to pass these out:
All Flyers
Churches #1
Churches #2
College Campuses
Reagan Country
Housewives and Moderates
Veterans and Military Types #1
and Military Types #2
Democrats
New Voters
People Who Voted for Bush in 2000
Security Moms, Firemen, Police
Law and Order Types
Housewives and Mod. -
He just came out today in support of Emb. stem cell research - so I am wondering -
Seems a bit too heavy in my opinion - might turn voters(women) off instead of on - Just my opinion so please don't attack. And don't take it any other way than political -
Also, call your local Republican office and volunteer for just 2 hours.
Ask what you can personally do to help them combat voter fraud. Each county has mechanisms in place and probably need help.
BTTT!!! I just emailed the links to 3 VERY political types...NON Freepers.
You've done a good thing here. Thanks much.
You make a good point.
Brad is very blessed to have you as a gramma.
Naaaaa......it's the other way around.
:-)
I'd sure like to know Brad, then! :-)
Well then, come on over!!!
You guys could play video games...computer games...!!!!
I's a guy, but a bit old for a video game meeting, although I do play a few with my 10-year old son, Samuel. Maybe he and Brad should meet, should you ever make it to Iowa.
It's a plan!!! Sounds like they'd get along just fine.
Hey what's the deal with Iowa? How can the Presidential election even be close in Iowa? Bush should be crushing Kerry in the heartland. Is somebody putting out phony poll numbers from Iowa? No comprendo, amigo.
Iowa has the reputation for being Conservative, but it is not so. The cities of Iowa City and Des Moines are largely Democrat and the rural areas and smaller towns more conservative. We have elected/reelected socialist Tom Harkin several times. Gore won Iowa in 2000 by some 4,000 votes. Our governor is the very liberal Tom Vilsack who followed Big-Spending Conservative Terry Branstad. Pretty good Union stronghold, explains some of this. Our state legislature is evenly split, but the there are lots of unanimous or nearly unanimous votes to spend more money or add new government regulations. Nobody wants controversy.
On the other side, 4 of 5 US House members are Republican and so is Charles Grassley. We are fickle.
bump
Thank You!
Thanks for your efforts.
Great News! What college do you get them out to?
We're also looking into running it as a 1/4 page ad in the student newspaper today. It would come out next Wednesday.
People ought to consider this tactic; a 1/4 page ad is only $90.00
This is what we have been looking for! We do the producing, You and We together do the distributing. We have Newton, Iowa (6500 homes) about 2/3 covered.
