CNN) -- With two weeks to go until Americans go to the polls, President Bush and Sen. John Kerry concentrated their efforts on the campaign trail Tuesday in the showdown states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Bush addressed an enthusiastic crowd in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tuesday morning, repeating his catchphrase, "he can run, but he cannot hide," in reference to his opponent's record in the Senate. It was the first of three Bush events in the state. (CNN.com's Candidates Tracker) "As proven by his record and a series of contradictions in this campaign, my opponent will say anything he thinks that will benefit him politically at the time," the president said of Kerry. He also accused the Democratic candidate of "relying on a litany of complaints and old-style scare tactics." Bush promised he would keep his promises on Social Security and would not institute a draft, as the Kerry campaign has suggested.

It's October. The Democrats are losing. Must be time to lie to the American people about Social Security. Flu Vaccine -- and Mt. St. Helens is George Bush's fault too. Does Jean Kerry do anything but pick up the New York Times

They have forgotten to blame the Crab-grass epidemic on Bush. (I did not say grab-ass...that would be Clinton)

Fox News showed a Letterman piece.

Kerry ad blaming Bush for environmental disaster, leaves turning bright colors and falling off the trees in some parts of the country!

Regarding SS, several years ago the GOP in congress brought forward a bill that would by law guarantee SS benefits. Currently, it would be legal for the government to halt paying SS.

The RATS opposed the measure (for obvious reasons*) and the bill went down to defeat. Some FReeper with greater research skills than mine needs to find the bill I am talking about and how Kerry voted. And fast.

*If the reason isn't obvious to you, it is because the RATS need to have the SS bogey man to scare seniors with. If by law the benefits could not be cut then the RATS wouldn't have the SS scare tactic in the playbook anymore.

All of Kerry's ISSUES are NON-ISSSUES. Hopefully that will make him the NON-WINNER.

On brit this evening's round table the panel were discussing the FOX poll numbers and internals, I swear Mara L. was about to cry...she admitted that sKerry has not gotten any traction like the DNC really wanted him too. They also said that the Cheney gaffe has hurt Lurch...take it for what it's worth!

I might be one of the few here who remember KFAT, great station it was.

And if that is not where your name comes from, well never mind.

If the election was in January Bush would be accused of wanting to take your kids Christmas presents away.

Exactly.

When the government is no longer able to SCARE YOUNGER WORKERS with their Social Security plan, whatever the name, the game will change.

Halloween is just around the corner, Mr. Mortician is honing his 'tricks'. Should he show up at my house, I'm dropping a bud biscuit in his bag.

If the Democrats cant get the point across by lying then they will let the entertainment industry do the dirty work. Last night I went to a Queensryche (rock) concert and I paid good money to see them. The show was awesome for the first half but wait.....an intermission. The band came back on stage and proceeded to bash Bush. First off, I paid money for this? Secondly, this is not a proper place for this activity. I was shocked and angry as well as offended. Where do these people get off? Myself and the two others that were with me got up and walked out. Texas is Bush territory and don't you forget it! I have cast my vote for the best man for the job...BUSH!I would like to see someone sue bands who do this sort of thing to their fans. Just to be a thorn in their sides! Had I known what the band had planned, I wouldn't have given them my money. I want a refund! Thanks for allowing me to post and vent
