Undecided Wife Report (Follow Up to Prior Article that Was Very Popular on FR)

Kerry Crushers will recall that my wife (who gave birth to the cutest baby of all time, by the way) was duly impressed by our dear president’s performance in the second debate and is generally very fond of him. Well, I thought we had her. But as it turns out, she is still one of those pesky few undecided voters left out there in America. To make matters more complicated for her, she has a rightwing, Bush lover for a husband and a leftwing Bush hater for a mother, both working over time to win her vote.

So a couple of days ago we sat down at the computer and she took a test on presidentmatch.com to determine which presidential candidate she agrees with the most. Sadly, she came up with a 53% Kerry match and only a 47% Bush match. (I’m suspicious about the scoring, though. She named “social issues” as her most determinative factor in the voting both, and on those social issues she is even further right than the president himself.)

The other day I caught my mother-in-law e-mailing all manner of leftwing propaganda to her, in a cynical attempt to poison her mind. So I have begun to foist stacks of articles on her to read as well. I’m actually quite proud of her for putting so much work into making the right decision.

But it’s the little things that will win her over I think. Turns out she was strolling through beautiful downtown Annapolis one day with a friend of a friend. The city streets were filled with hideous leftist gasbags decked out in full Kerry-Edwards regalia, as there was an overactive Democrat booth nearby handing out stickers and signs, etc.

“Ugh. I can’t stand John Kerry,” my wife's companion said. And that opened up the floodgates. These two women who, as I stated before, were really only getting to know each other, bonded immediately at John Kerry’s expense.

Later, my wife had a long phone chat with her mentor, a fellow child therapist, during which the 2004 election came up. This woman, too, opened up a can of whoop-tushie on America’s Most Liberal Senator. Surely, if these two reasonable, professional-class, intelligent women find Kerry as repugnant and Bush as endearing as my wife does, then her decision cannot be far away.

Get her to watch the ad posted on Ashley's Story web site. If she won't decide for W after viewing that 30 second commercial, she won't do it ever.

Your "cutest baby on Earth" has spots.... Could you post one without, so that I can confirm that my kids were cuter? ;-)

And she'd consider voting for Kerry? How strange.

Hmmm...why do I get the impression this isn't the first time the MIL has been hyperventilating against you? Dr. Laura would have a field day with this!

Oh, and here's a prayer that your wife will think of that precious little one's future and not be swayed by the lies of the Kerryistas. So much is at stake!

Just a clarification. Pat Hynes, the proprietor of, and my partner at crushkerry.com wrote this article. The undecided wife and cute kid are his. His freep name is kerry crusher

My wife is both cute and decided (for Bush), and my kids are handsome as well (they're boys).

Also, some of your other questions may be answered by reading the original post HERE

I got 81% Bush 21% Kerry.

That makes 102 in the math I learned. How'd that happen?

Maybe it's just what percentage of their plan (I have a plan!) you agree with, and doesn't add to 100%?

Funny thing: I left all answers neutral. Both candidates scored 0%. And it recommended I vote Kerry.

Ask her how much overtime she's going to put in when her husband can't get a job because of kerry's affirmative action pandering and disastrous economic policy.

Ask her how her child is going to get into a university when he or she is put at a disadvantage by the same kerry policy.

Ask her how she and her husband are going to pay for that education (and all the expenses along the way) after kerry raises taxes sky high to pay for his social experiments.

Ask her how safe she feels and how safe she thinks her child will be when a terrorist appeaser like kerry is in the White House.

Ask her if she wants the "marriages" of homosexual perverts put on a par with her marriage and eligible for all the same benefits.

Have you explained to her how utterly stupid and DANGEROUS a vote for Kerry is. Her mother sounds like she is a member of the Democrat cult! Ask your wife to try thinking of being an American first and to think of your new baby and the kind of world she deserves to grow up in. I am sorry for sounding so harsh, but I don't suffer fools easily!

During the last Democrat administration we also had; The Waco debacle; The Ruby ridge mess; and the Elian Gonzolos tragedy.

Minor point: The Ruby ridge killings happened during the Bush administration; only the cover-up was by the Clinton/Reno administration.

Why would a couple stand in line to cancel out each others votes? I work with some people like this. It's weird.

You're right, crushkerry. Rose Marie is an absolute doll!
May she have a life full of love and joy!

Spend a Quality day with your daughter while you have some of your wife's friends over a tea and some polite political discourse.

Be sure to whisper some lullabyes in Rose Marie's ear. Should the dicussion downstairs become too voiciferous.

Then take Rose Marie down after things have settled down so the ladies in attendance can all make nice.

Just an idea.

Jack.
