I have seen alot of political ads in my day, but this one is hands down in the top 5 most powerful. It was produced by a GOP 527 and is running in 8 battleground states starting today.
Here is the link: http://www.ashleysstory.com/media/Ashley.mplarge.wmv
I would try and link it directly but the last time I did I failed and every computer geek on this board let me know about it. (G) Get a life!
Ping
Bump
They just played the ad on MSNBC. Very powerful and emotionally moving.
Good ad bump!
"he is the one that took that photograph"
yes, he said he just held the camera up and shot; thought he might get shoes or the sky; but instead, it is absolutely perfect.
Talk about a candid shot capturing the essence of the man . . .
I don't see how "security moms" can see this ad, or even the still photo, without tears . . .
So very moving...third or fourth time I've read or seen something about Ashley, and it still makes me cry.
God Bless President Bush.
Thanks. You done good. I've used a computer since about 1984 and am still awed. I not a computer geek, just a geek and an o'far'.
I tried twice last night to give to the Ashley Ad folks:
http://www.pfavoterfund.com
and never could get it to take my $$$. This is one ad I want to see play in all the battleground states before the election.
I saw it on msnbc yesterday evening, and was crying before it was over, even though I've seen the story before.
Thanks.
Isn't it wonderful? THAT is a REAL manly man.
Here in Alaska we're slam dunk for Bush so we don't get either Bush or Kerry ads.. and I don't have dsl only 56k line so don't load ads... and other slow loading stuff.. a brief desciption of it would suffice.. I could live happily a hundred years and without even seeing or hearing another political ad for anybody..
Thanks for the ping!
No problem. I am glad you enjoy the articles you are pinged to. :)
I noticed today that she was front and center with Kerry at a rally. Whenever my husband sees her he yells, "comb your hair!" LOL.
Guess she's angling for Paula Zahn's job, dissheveled, unkempt, and ditzy.
Thanks for the post. Amazing story.
Welcome!
one of the best!
I just saw the ad today. It was very moving. Bush comforted the girl and a spontaneous, private gesture, that's what makes it so beautiful.
Lump in throat. Right man for the right time. Sorry to drink the cool-aid but he's the man.
