LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A pro-Kerry letter-writing campaign by Britain's left-leaning Guardian newspaper, targeting undecided U.S. voters, has provoked outrage across the Atlantic.
The paper has encouraged its readers to express their opinions on the November 2 presidential election to voters in the key swing state of Ohio -- to the fury of Clark county.
"Hey England, Scotland and Wales, mind your own business. We don't need weenie-spined Limeys meddling in our presidential election," was one of the e-mail reactions to the campaign.
The Fox national cable television network tore into the newspaper and even John Kerry's own Democrats expressed horror at the campaign.
"We all feel it is not a good idea. I think it was unwise. It is so poorly thought-out," said Sharon Manitta, spokeswoman in Britain for Democrats Abroad.

"Real Americans aren't interested in your pansy-ass, tea-sipping opinions. If you want to save the world, begin with you own worthless corner of it," wrote one from Texas.
Wow, the left did something that was poorly thought-out, what a shocker.
England is our best and truest ally. Even in that great nation, however, there are going to be some a$$holes.
True. To borrow the Team America analogy. Basically the English are D****s like us. But they have a lot of a******s and p*****s messing things up.

I almost fell out of my chair reading that!
LOL!!

CNN left the best ones out because they're a bit...colorful:
Biting comment....
oh my goodness - why, I think we may be speaking here of "unintended consequences"
When I heard about this last week I knew it would backfire on them. lol
I'm so proud to be a Texan!
I've posted this before and I'll say it again...
This sort of thing makes me incredibly ashamed, but then its what you'd expect from a rag like the 'Guardian'. Its so left leaning its gone past left and out the other side.
My apologies to all you US citizens who have to put up with such idiocy from some of my fellow countrymen.
Please remember though, that it is only SOME of my countrymen that act in this spineless weenie way!! :)
I think quoting Forrest Gump is overdone but "stupid is as stupid does" about wraps this up into a tidy little crumpet.
Well it was a plan from the left, so why would anyone think it could possibly succeed.
Seconded
All part of Karl Rove's master strategery. The last time he was that effective was when he sneaked into Kerry's hotel room before the debate and whispered "Cheney's daughter is a Lesbian. It's fair game to mention it" while Kerry was asleep.
A non-entity of a newspaper "makes" news and everyone becomes focused on a non-event.
The media is dying from the cult of taking itself too seriously.
